Great question/topic
I don’t know if I’ve ever had a vacation that qualifies as the most relaxing although they have all had moments of peak relaxation if that makes sense. However, sitting outside on a cliffside house on the island of Andros In Aegean Sea and watching a full moon rise over the ocean with chunks of lamb sizzling on an open fire and my kids swimming is going to be tough to beat. Welcome the opportunity tho.

Best was Dominican Republic (specifically Secrets Cap Cana) for our combined bachelor/bachelorette/Wedding/Honeymoon with some close friends and a select few family members a month ago. Could do as much or as least as you want as far as activities and excursions go, Ocean Front master suite with personal plunge pool on balcony, great food. Very relaxing and no children around for a week. We are ready to book a return trip.
Second - Maui
Third - tie between Lake Tahoe and Carmel/Pebble Beach. Both trips spent golfing by day, great restaurants every night!

Arroyo Seco, NM
Private VRBO house at 7,600' for six days. Patio facing the mountains. Lots of jacuzzi and wine with gentle snow flurries in Early May. Daily drives to the mountains and great food every night. Red River wine festival. Doesn't take much to get a buzz at 8,700'.

A couple of years I went to Isla Mujures. All I did was relax, enjoy Playa Norte, great restaurants, awesome drinks and the chill, laidback vibe.

Pretty much all of them, especially summer because I book for an extended period and it gives me time just to do what I want instead of rush rush rush

I initially thought I would have several to choose from to answer this, but I don't think I've had one that most would consider relaxing since maybe my honeymoon 10 years ago. We like to run and gun when traveling. Very rare to go somewhere and sit on a beach. That said, every one of them gets my mind off work and the daily stressors, so I guess they're all relaxing in a sense.
While still busy, I think Costa Rica may have been our most relaxed trip ever.

Got snowed in when we visited Branson, MO last year. Most relaxing time cuddling with my girl watching movies and cooking dinner in our condo. I cooled our drinks outside because it was colder than the fridge haha.

Waterfront villas in Aruba. I could easily quit my job and live there if it wasn’t for those darn capitalists wanting me to pay

Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. We have done a few all inclusives, but that was by far the most "relaxed" we have been.

What was the most relaxing vacation you have ever taken? Where did you go, and what did you do?
Got a house on Lower Bay on Bequia and chilled the frick out.

Roatan.
Rented a little house in West Bay next to Las Rocas dive resort. We had our own little private beach right outside the back door and the reef for snorkeling right there. Would walk next door for coffee and breakfast in the mornings and ate lunch and dinner at other beach restaurants that were in walking distance.

Corfu, Greece. In the 1990's. I don't really do relaxed but this one was great. We had a Eurail pass and saw that the Corfu Ferry was included from Brindisi. Very cool. Tourism was WAY down due to disintegration of Albania. A rep. from Thomas's met us at the ferry. Great price - $25 for the room that looked over the ocean. Shuttle down to the beach. Watched people being rescued from the undertow, cute topless Euros, some decent food. Good place.

Anniversary trip to Chicago and Niagara. Flew into Chicago, spent 5 days there, rented car to drive to Cedar Point for a day, then Detroit for a day (NYY were in town during Jeter’s last year), then Niagara for 4 days, then flew out of Pitt
Only a few stressful spots during drives between cities because we were in unfamiliar areas at night. Other than that, just had a hit list for things to do/see in Chicago & Niagara and just went w the flow

Rincon, PR. Small surf town on the west coast. Go during the off season and rent a place right on the water. Great people, sunsets, and food. Not crowded and plenty of spots to get away.

Just north of Punta Mita, MX at the Imanta in May .... girlfriend and i stayed at the 12 villa resort in the jungle that opened to a private beach. Only saw 4 other couples in 4 days.
I'm usually not a hang around the beach and chill guy, but the giant rooms and privacy mixed with perfect water and service was alright.

Probably just some time at the beach in Gulf Shores or Fla. Relaxing on vacations isn't something that I normally like to do. I always like to schedule some down time when I do travel and take time to relax but normally when I travel I like to be doing something.
