Get Global Entry for $100 and it includes TSA Pre. Worth every penny even if you don't travel a lot.

If you travel regularly, it's definitely worth it

100% worth it, but they do have some airports that consistently have a longer pre-check line than regular one (Reno). I just breeze through every other time. Randomly at MSY, there will be one TSA idiot that makes people take off their jackets, shoes, and get their computers out of their bag.

I've been through TSA with a pocket knife that has a 4.5" blade. It was clipped onto my pocket. Didn't even realize it until I was on the descent at home. I go through every time with a lighter (which means multiple times if I go outside to smoke). Just goes to show how worthless they are

I did it last year. It's so nice. I'm mad at myself for not doing it earlier.

For MSY its only useful if you are flying on event weekends out of New Orleans. There are times the Pre-TSA line has been longer than the regular line.

Its more useful in larger airports.

Got conditional approval for Global Entry. Should get the interview when I fly into Houston next month. Wish I'd have done this sooner.

I'm pre-check. When I fly with the wife and kiddos they automatically get pre-check as well. I'm not sure if that's consistent among airlines, airports, or all people. All I know is it makes it a jillion times easier especially with the kids.

I have it for work and love it. I made my wife get it too. Kids under 13 years old get to go through TSA pre with the parent so when we fly as a family it makes it so much easier!

I’ve seen the Pre-TSA line longer than the regular line on more than one occasion. That being said in busier airports I’m sure it’s worth it.

Absolutely worth it every time all the time.

Also, paid for it with my Cap One Venture card....within 5 mins of leaving the place got email from them telling me they were covering the fee entirely.

Used it just yesterday.
Shorter lines and I get to keep my clothes on.
Also, I dont have to unpack my electronics.

Great program.

It’s the best $85 I’ve ever spent.

I'm applying for it now. Will I need to provide a birth certificate as part of the process or will my DL suffice?

I applied online, then had to go to an office and get fingerprinted plus supply BC and DL. Pay $85 and I think that was it.
