It's 85 dollars for 5 years. Absolutely worth it. If you fly 5 times a year or more, double down and get clear.

re: TSA pre-check
for the first time in a while I didn't have Pre-check for some reason flying back from Orlando to BTR.
I noticed people were going through without taking off their shoes so I didn't take mine off and not a peep from any of the TSA agents.

CLEAR + TSA PRE CHECK

Been traveling through Love Field lately in Dallas. Each time the Pre-Check line has been 200+ people long, but that CLEAR + PRE CHECK line has two people in it.

Everyone has Pre-Check now, so you gotta get Clear too.

Full disclosure, I got the 4 month trial of Clear because I am traveling a lot over the next few months. However, if you dont travel at least 1-2 times a month, Clear probably isnt worth the $170-$200 a year it costs.

re: TSA pre-check
You actually don’t. If the person with Pre Check books all under one reservation everyone gets it. This has at least been my experience on southwest.

If the Superdome would get clear I would get it.

I’ve seen the Pre-TSA line longer than the regular line on more than one occasion. That being said in busier airports I’m sure it’s worth it.

Please note: A longer pre check line doesn’t always mean that it takes more time. People get through much faster.

I haven’t waited more than 10 minutes at the Charlotte airport since I got pre check. Average is probably 2-3 minutes

re: TSA pre-check
I travel a lot for work. It is absolutely worth the time and effort. Only caveat is from my experience current terminals at MSY have the highest percentage, by a long shot, of any airport I have ever been through that do not have pre-check open. But presumably you will fly back, and can use it there as well.

Now, this is different than Global Entry, which is useful if you fly internationally, at avoiding US Border line. Also worth the effort, but more of a process. You get a known traveler ID number with that, which is what you need for TSA pre-check.

I recommend it to everybody. It’s so much better than not having it.

Children under 13 can go thru with an approved parent, but your wife will need to go thru regular security.

If you fly more than about 5-6 times a year then you should do it.

Easy as pie.

re: TSA pre-check
Absolutely worth it. This morning we dropped the in-laws off at the terminal, drove the rental car back to enterprise about 1.5 miles away, returned it, caught an uber back to the airport, checked bags and STILL beat them through security.

re: TSA pre-check
This is correct

With my TSA pre check, as long as I purchase the wife and kids’ tickets, they get pre check status automatically when traveling with me.

Wife travels without me - no pre check status cause she never applied

re: TSA pre-check
Pre Check here. It’s worth it. But not always perfect.

They made me go through the same shite in BR Tuesday AM as the OT Poors after I went through. Hacked off but whatever.

Left San Juan yesterday, forgot I had booze in my carry on. Went back, checked the bag, got a call from a coworker who forgot something in the rental.

Went back, got it, went back through the USDA scan with my carry on I didn’t check, went back through Pre Check. Still beat my coworker.

It’s a dream. I’ll take that in exchange for the BR bs I went through on the way out.

re: TSA pre-check
I learned something new on a flight a couple of months ago. I have precheck but didn’t get it on that flight. I thought they made a mistake by not putting it on my boarding pass but was told that even if you have a current TSA precheck every once in a while they won’t honor it.
