Pretty healthy dynamic right now and the game is way more fun than those 6 months or so that they were struggling after release.
This. I left the game for a bit. Since their first major update to add the illuminate the first time, the game has only gotten better. They did a good job learning from the early mistakes in my opinion. The difficulty splits are really well balanced too. You want to sample farm with a little difficulty, got it. You want all out sweaty warfare, got that too. Also them buying into the folks going a more Role Play route with the latest stratagems is very fun. Playing with those guys is always fun.

Running on PC or PS5? Did you have any performance issues on the latest update?

Some I don't notice too much of a difference, mainly with explosive and energy weapons (eruptor ergonomics make it more fun). However the vertical foregrip and I believe it's the muzzle break make the liberator penetrator a 0 recoil beam.
Mechs are still single use, but we won a Major Order to reduce the cooldown time on them and it was increased to 3 uses per mission (think Orbital Laser)

It's nothing too robust, but for some of the guns, it makes a huge difference. Would be interesting to see if they can expand to the sidearms and strategem guns (this one doesn't seem too feasible).
Agreed that the game is in a good state. It was interesting to see major orders that appeared to be well in hand "magically" fail, but damn did they have big plans for it

What's everyone (who's still playing) think about the new updates? Newest updates have been awesome in my opinion. Battle for Super Earth, Illuminate back and tough as shite, gun customization.
For a lot of the mistakes they made early on (I definitely stepped away for a solid 3 months before the first illuminate introduction), they are coming out with some great content now. Fighting on Super Earth against the illuminate is fresh and engaging.
Pulled 200k concurrent divers at one point on Super Earth. Democracy, baby.

Also thought Calafiori was fantastic as a CB.
I think he pairs really well with either Saliba or Kiwior. I like Richy's ability and desire to drive or be an option into the final third, and he does have some creativity in his bag. With an anchor like Wilo or Kiwior as his partner, that really opens up the overload chances out the back with both fullbacks and him sliding in to that inverted mid spot.
Another comment mentioned Hato, would make Arsenal's defensive rotation pretty stout across the line. Think that would make Zinny and probably Tomiyasu another move durring the summer?

That is what brought me back. I can do a run or two and walk away. It is tough for me to put hours into something
Agreed, very nice quick 30 min chillout after work before doing other things.
Anyone still playing on here?
Got back into it about a month ago and think it's in a nice spot right now with the latest updates and some new tweaks.
The Gloom Terminids was a very chaotic yet fun change of pace. Also feel like quickplay/SOS/matchmaking has gotten much better. Weapon balance feels pretty good now especially if you can communicate well with the squad. Robots can still be a bitch.
Got a group of 3 that play so happy to add one more. Trying to run level 7-9 usually.

Hahnville beating Evangel in the dome was one of the best games I had ever seen.

Just finished the Super Mario RPG remake and it was just as good as I remember. Loved the quality of life changes too.
Started Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door this weekend since I didn't play it on the GC. VERY fun.
NCAA 25
Going to get Astro Bot when it goes on sale. Looking for some new switch stuff since I just got one.

I do believe we've gotten some more consistency between the posts, but I'll always remember that ridiculous free kick save away at Leicester

Does anyone think we see Timber in midfield some this year?
Think playing the 6 or switching to a double pivot? I think him and Calafiori provide excellent depth in the CB position so we don't have to rely on Gabriel and Rolls Royce so much, or he goes to RB and White can play inside. If they want to change to a double pivot, I could see Timber stepping into that space. He has some great clips from Ajax carrying and playing through the middle. It may be a little early given the injury, but I'm all in on Timber and have big expectations for him.

If you want something with strategy and also nice art/theme, there's Scythe.
If you've never played a deckbuilder, you might try Dominion. That game has almost limitless variety if you get a couple of the different sets.
I second both of these games. Scythe is one of my favorites. Also has a steam version so can play with friends online too.

Just started playing yesterday, and while it can be a bit until you get to the guns and everything you see on the videos, I can tell I will be playing this a lot.
re: 2023-2024 Ski Thread

Was in Kitzbühel all last week and it was incredible. Last year was very little snow, and this year the only runs not open were those they were grooming for races, including Der Streif. Blue bird days everyday but Monday and the snow was really good except for Saturday which started to get a little hard and slick. Can't say enough good things about this place regarding the ski culture. The food and options outnumber the States tremendously, and for those that like apres, there's something for everyone.
Leaving Friday for Jackson Hole. Ready to ride some good snow and grab a few waffles!

Yes. His programs are great and have gotten me some good results.
Dane was a good thrower, and he is a damn good throwing and weightlifting coach. He has some good experience coaching youth level. Haley Reichart (sp?) has been a really good weightlifter that has been at the national/international level for some time under him just to name an example.

Excited to hear about your experience!
Just curious, how did you get your tickets? I've read all kinds of different stories about getting tickets, so I'm always interested to hear how that experience went.

Just attended the PR party. Walked in with a 185kg/407lb PR and now it is 200kg/440lbs!
Ready to get weightlifting centric again and go for a 140kg/308lbs clean and jerk.
Congrats to everyone else!

Follow up question so keeping the spoiler tag.
Do you think they'd do GG and Hobgoblin for the next one? Kind of wasn't a fan of Harry staying alive, but that has to be why. Big three of them and Doc has to make for a heavy Pete story no matter what.
Sidebar, while it was a little bittersweet since Peter doesn't finish him, the Kraven end scene was great.

Just plat'd it last night. What an incredible game top to bottom. Story was superb, and everything felt pretty smooth. This visuals and load times when fast travelling were killer. Can't wait for some DLC.
