I've been to 35. Missing the 6 New England states, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, 3 west Coast states, Alaska and Hawaii. Haven't crossed a new one off the list since 2007 (South Dakota, Montana, and Idaho). I'm 49.
Fun fact, I got 35 states without ever going by air. First and so far only plane flight was to Houston in 2023.

I think I have been to all 50. There are a few that I have only driven through; Indiana and Minnesota come to mind. But I’ve spent at least one night in the rest. I can’t think of one I haven’t been to.
We have taken at least 3 really long road trips since I retired 11 years ago. Last June we drove to Oregon from NC.

That sounds miserable as shite, like the states I clocked taking a Greyhound from Indianapolis to San Fran. Living in New England or the Mid Atlantic almost doesn't count, but even the drive from the LA border to San Antonio sucks.

We've been to Cape Flattery in Washington (W)
Key West FL (S)
We will see West Quoddy Head ME in June (E) (no East Quoddy Head!)
Last point is the Northwest Angle in Minnesota (N).
We live in a beautiful country...
