My lack of enthusiasm for visiting NYC has nothing to do w/crime, or politics.

I've been there once, 30+ yrs ago when I was in college. I realized I was not a big city boy. I just don't like the vibe.

LA/Southern/BBQ is enough cuisine for me. I can get culture elsewhere.

If other people like it, fine. But it's not for me.

New York and California are running neck and neck in the “screw the citizens” contest.

ITT: A whole lot of posters acting pissed off about something that will literally never affect them

There are too many public transit options in NYC to justify driving in such a crowded city. Hilarious melt from this soft arse board.

Where the workplace pays, expect costs of those goods and services to rise.

Are you that clueless? You can look it up on the Internet with a little effort. Philly got caught at it too. Yeah, there's a lot of politics in those statistics and if you had been on the streets of NYC, you could see it first hand.

I believe that there are a couple of restaurants and stores in that area of Manhattan that may use delivery trucks though.

Costs $5 (soon to be $7) to leave the pristine pearly confines of St. Tammany Parish.

ove how this makes posters here so angry. Few posters here have been to NYC, and there are likely only a couple who have ever or will ever drive in midtown Manhattan.

I drove a uhaul through time square (big mistake...but I didn't pay for movers lmfao)

That said who drives into the city and if you do $50 to park and $10 for bridge what is another $15

People "not caring" about "things that don't affect them" has enabled terrible policy and has lead to this country to start slowly circling the drain.

The edgy cool guys here love to pretend that nothing ever matters and that mild comments on a small message board equals “melting”. This particular policy is not going to affect most people here but it takes a shallow minded fool to keep thinking that everything happens in a vacuum.

you’re right. next thing you know, we’ll have to pay to cross the causeway or drive on certain roads in Texas and Florida

The only reason I don't want to go to NYC is because I just don't like that many buildings surrounding me. I need open space. I guess if I went I'd have to hang out in central park.

Are those in addition to the ridiculous tolls for the tunnels and bridges just drive onto Manhattan Island?

And yet people in Louisiana in a few months will bitch about paying 25 cents a crossing for locals on the new Belle Chasse Bridge and 90 cents for out of the area vehicles.
