I'd never, ever think about living there, but you're missing out if you never go. You can disagree with the politics of a place and still appreciate other aspects.

You will not own a car, you will fly in a plane only once a year, you will walk if you have to go anywhere, you will live in the pod, you will eat the bugs.

I can assure you I personally am not missing anything that I care to experience by not going to NYC.
And it's not "if", I will never go.

How would you know if you've never been? What scares you about it so much?

I love how this makes posters here so angry. Few posters here have been to NYC, and there are likely only a couple who have ever or will ever drive in midtown Manhattan.
Wow, you're so cosmopolitan. Nobody could ever go to the big city like you.

I've seen the pictures. It doesn't intrigue me. There's nothing about it that scares me I'm just not easily impressed by pompous and arrogance.

Call me a liberal fig, but I like a lot of well-executed cuisine and museums. That, and watching the ABB at the Beacon was always awesome.
To each their own, baw.

Is that on top of all the bridge tolls?
Bridge tolls are already $20

Correct. London started their congestion a few years ago but they have specific timeframes where the charge does/doesn’t apply IIRC
Aren’t there areas that cars aren’t allowed at all (certain areas of the City of London, etc)?

Brah, you are just inventing reasons. You are basing an entire city based on media portrayals. It is an insane way of operating in the world.

I know you're trying to flex and all, so I'm going to step back and let you have your time to shine, but just know that I see how asinine you're being.

There was a time where I wanted to go to Los Angeles and San Diego and NYC but there is nothing about those places that interest me anymore.
Those cities have gotten to the point that they are just awful with their governments and political BS

I’ll be there in a couple weeks. But I’ll be flying this time, not driving. It’s about the same amount of time, but it’s honestly just easier to not deal with parking and all.

Yeah dude, I'm sure I'm really missing out on an obscenely loud, congested, dangerous dystopian hellscape just to get some pizza and watch race swapped queers prance around in plays.
Upstate New York in the wilderness I would absolutely visit.

They’re still great places to visit. People on this site have been consumed by politics. Those places may not be ideal to live, but still worth at least visiting once especially NYC.
