I'm going to be really bummed out if this season doesn't materialize. Concerned about La Nina and COVID.

We've got Tahoe for February. Watch them struggle to reach 100" total snow by then.

Just booked Keystone for middle of February. Where's the best/cheapest place to rent skis/snowboards?

Ikon Base Pass this season. Steamboat 12/12-12/19 and then hit the Utah resorts on Ikon for spring break in March.

Can someone explain which Epic Pass I'll need? Skiing Monday-Friday at Keystone only. I can't seem to figure out which is the best.

Back door grill has great burgers. Laundry for dinner and creekside for brunch, they are next door to one another. Mambo Italiano is surprisingly good. BrauHaus on the hill is fun.

StormPeak Brewing has good beer.

One of the best meals of my life has been at Periodic Table. It is east of town up in a neighborhood(Catamount). I can not recommend it enough. The entire experience from drinks to dinner to dessert to the building was phenomenal. Backstory on the chef who has a brain tumor. LINKSeriously, do not miss this place. I found out about it from a Tiger that met the Chef's brother at football games.

If you are balling you could stay at 3 Forks. LINK My buddy guides there and talks it up pretty good but you better be rich. Like $1500 per person per night but since I have seen some of the places this board recommends.....and it is all inclusive. You gotta spend money to make money right?

Strawberry Springs for a soak and watching scuzzy folks get naked.

The liquor store behind the Conoco by Safeway for booze/beer/wine.

What are the dates. If it falls on what they consider a holiday it makes a difference.

Keystone doesn't get black out dates on any of the passes does it?

Feb 15-19. Not a holiday. Holidays are the 13th and 14th.

Keystone Plus Pass or Day Pass? Or something else?

Loveland was really great about refunding me last year so I’m going in early December just to support them. Good customer service needs to be rewarded.

Looking for some advice from the ski people. Wife and I want to do a winter trip this year since our other trips got canceled. We went to Breck a few years ago with some friends but will be solo this year. We are beginner skiers so we don’t want to go somewhere that is difficult. Is breck our best option or are there any different places y’all would suggest we try out?

Steamboat is a pretty easy mountain and less crowded than summit county. Nice bunny run right at the base with its own lift. Super long green run that goes from top to bottom.

Deer Valley in Utah or Northstar in Tahoe are good resorts for beginner level skiers.

Cabin in FairPlay, Co Feb 10-17. I’ll ski two of the days at either A-basin, Copper, or Monarch.

Any Nordic skiers in this thread?

I'm looking to do it for the first time this winter. In difference between trying to start with Classic vs Skate?

Monarch

How is Monarch? I cross monarch pass a couple of times a year, but it’s always June-September timeframe.
