re: Montana trip - 8thyearsenior on 6/12/19 at 8:16 pm
Doable?
shite no! I don’t know about Philipsburg but your Bozeman plans are brutal. The park is every bit of a hour and half to the north entrance from Bozeman. All that does is get you to the entrance, you’ve a got a lot more driving from there. You’re looking at all day in a car w...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Flying Into Denver-What Area Should I Get Hotel Central to Natl Park, Pikes Peak, Etc - 8thyearsenior on 6/6/19 at 9:28 pm
SwampDonks
Why are you staying in The springs? Pikes peak is shuttles only I think, can’t drive yourself to the top anymore. I’m sure you can google it for the details. I think you are severely underestimating how long of a drive it is to Estes from the Springs and back. It wou...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Flying Into Denver-What Area Should I Get Hotel Central to Natl Park, Pikes Peak, Etc - 8thyearsenior on 6/6/19 at 7:38 am
4 days, I’d stay somewhere different each night. Perhaps fly into Denver then stay in Estes or even Longmont the first night. frick Broomfield. Then hit the park and stay in Grand Lake or Winter Park or even Granby. The next day head over to Breckenridge and stay there. Third day go over Hoosier Pass...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Grand Canyon/ Yellowstone... - 8thyearsenior on 6/1/19 at 10:06 pm
A camp site in these parks cost $28. Spend about $700 on nice bags, mats, and tents for the family then you are set! Ain’t much better than a day in the park followed by beers and whiskey around a camp fire. National parks are our country’s best idea....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Park City/Deer Valley in June - 8thyearsenior on 5/11/19 at 9:44 am
Utah had an epic snow season like us here in Colorado. If you are going in early June you should call an outdoor shop and see what might be dry to hike. Likewise you should call a fly shop and see if the rivers will be running too fast to fish. It's a beautiful part of the world and you are gonn...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: When did Weatherford become such a shitty stock? - 8thyearsenior on 5/11/19 at 9:35 am
They filed chapter 11. Surprised it took this long. I started my oil filed career with em and got back into the patch working for em for about a year. You can see the day I gave my notice in November last year on their stock price....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Ideas for cooking over a camp fire? - 8thyearsenior on 5/6/19 at 10:39 am
As a person who camps a good bit I highly recommend that if your cabin has a kitchen you use that. Having your fire temp right is 90% of the battle and isn't the easiest thing to do. One or two nights maybe cook on the fire but there is a reason you don't see people cooking on their fire pits at hom...

re: Colorado in late July with kids - 8thyearsenior on 4/17/19 at 2:35 pm
Colorado Springs
Why? It isn't a bad place but there is so many better places here. Grand Lake and check out the park, lake, Estes Park, Granby and shoot over to Steamboat for a day. You can spend a week easy here and the kids wont get bored. Or travel around staying a night...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: OXY buying APC for 57B - 8thyearsenior on 4/12/19 at 12:08 pm
BTW we live in the same city
Love it here but I am out of the Greeley office now so we have been talking of moving up to FoCo or Lyons. I'm with Noble and the rumor has been swirling around about BP buying us since they moved to Denver last year. Really don't think it'll work w...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Tell me about Cleveland - 8thyearsenior on 3/31/19 at 8:58 pm
There are a few breweries you should definitely go to Great Lakes Brewery in the Ohio City neighborhood. There are a few other other breweries in that area too like Market Garden and Nano Brew. Very walkable area and Townhall is an extremely popular restaurant/ bar.
This is a ver...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
