YouTube TV vs. the other options?

I am dropping dish and will go full streaming. YouTube tv seems to be the best option on the surface for sports / LSU but for those that have already made this switch are there better options?

There are many threads on this. I believe the general consensus is YoutubeTV has the best user interface and DVR but the others all have their positives too.
The best part about all of of the streaming services is that they offer free trials. My best suggestion is to give them all a test drive to see which one you prefer.
I do miss 2-3 channels but YTTV gets my vote on convenience.

I use YTTV and like it because it is easy to split the account costs with others and it is easily to take on the road. Almost all other services limit your usage to a mobile device when you are away from home but with YTTV you can take a roku, apple TV, fire stick, etc. with you and enjoy YTTV in a hotel, tailgate, etc.
DirecTV has some good options but they are pricey. They are the only one that offers a direct replacement experience for cable/satellite users. They have a hardware box that allows you to type in channel numbers and everything on the remote. You would never know it wasn't directv satellite.
If you need any of the missing channels from YTTV (history, a&e, etc.) you can add on Philo or Frndly TV. Frndly is like $10/mo.

We still stick with sling, i like the interface as well. the sports package comes with Redzone, and every espn, sec, sec+, and sports networks. i think we pay $75

We dropped DirecTV recently and went with YTTV. So far, so good. We like the DVR has unlimited space, the interface is much quicker than DTV and the sports is just fine. You can customize the interface to only show the channels that you want and if you have different profiles, you each can have your own custom channel guide.
We did not try anything else, we cancelled DTV and went with YTTV.

Does it have Bally Sports?
Seems silly to favor a cable package incapable of watching pro Hockey, Baseball, or Basketball.
But it's google owned so this place loves it!

There's a section on the website where you can enter your zip code and it'll let you know what is carried where you live.
I believe at one point Bally was on YTTV but currently is not.

YTTV or Sling. If you're a sportsfan you will need ESPN+ separately. Also Amazon for Thursday night NFL.
Prices are comparable but Sling has NFL redzone included. YTTV has the NFL package as a separate addon.
I like YTTV interface.
Maybe try a month or so of each.

We've had YouTube TV for about 5 years and still enjoy it.
We mostly watch local broadcasts and sports.
The price has gone up along with everything else but is still worth the price for us.
We test drove Hulu for a a few months and dropped it because we didn't like the interface and the streams were spooling often.

No but I believe you can directly subscribe to Bally to get those channels if you want.

I really like DirectStream. We now really only use one TV for most viewing, so I only need one box. The other TVs are almost entirely sports, so I use the ESPN app for those.

What I like about YTTV is splitting the screen to watch multiple sporting events.
For instance on Monday night you could watch both the NFL and MLB game that night on split screen, and now that we have 60-70" tvs for most people, it's still a good view for both games.
On saturday's i'm splitting the screen and tuning into 4 college football games at once.

Is anyone else having issues with the dvr on yttv not fast forwarding through sponsored commercials with certain shows?

I have DTV during baseball season for the Braves on Bally and switch to YTTV in the offseason.
It's a little cheaper and we just like it better. But both are fine. DTV losing ESPN coincided pretty well with my annual cancellation of DTV streaming.
Cancelling YTTV involves clicking a button in settings on your Google account. Canceling DTV streaming requires calling and being on hold and doing the whole routine. It's new tech industry (Google) vs. legacy corporate (ATT) and the former is more pleasant to deal with for sure.

I canned Hulu Live TV, right before their most recent price increase announcement.
I switched to YTV. My credit card company (Chase - that I never use) offered $20.00 off YTV every month. YTV offered 3 months at $64.99 - $20.00 (use of credit card) = $44.99 for the first 3 months. After 3 months, the price will go to $52.99 per month. Not bad, considering where most are priced at today.

I love my downvotes. I can watch the Reds, Guardians, Cavs, Blue Jackets on other packages. But I should pay more to watch stuff on delay and without the ability to watch sports locally.

I have a similar question.
I"m currently paying for HULU live and you get the Disney and ESPN bundle with it.
I'm also a Kroger Boost member, and they just started offering one of those services for free with the membership, so I'm wondering if I should do something like this.
Switch to another service with live TV options
Use Boost membership for something like HULU/ESPN+/Disney+ and then pay for basic hulu to see other hulu content.
Thoughts?

YouTube TV, but be aware that it does not have channels owned by A&E Networks (mainly A&E and History Channel).
