macbook keyboards are the best.

while I think they are better laptops than any other manufacturer, I find their keyboards to be the one area where they are the worst. the keys are so flat and near each other that it is very difficult to know which keys you are tapping. they sort of flow together. I can type quite fast on other keyboards without having to look down, but with any apple keyboard I find myself making quite a few mistakes and needing to look down to ensure I'm depressing the proper keys.

How do you get the educational pricing for a student? She’s a senior in high school graduating in May.

Go to Apple Store online and find the education part. They may or may not ask for some sort of verification. I will be ordering one for my senior son tonight so can update my experience afterward.

Spring for the M2, it's an impressive machine for the price point.

Yeah, I should have said old style USB 2.0 ports. Her previous Air had two of them to plug her gadgets into. The new one doesn’t have any so she’ll have to buy an adapter.

I love the look and feel of Macs.

But after living in a windows and MS office world for 30 years they kick my arse. Old dog, new tricks I guess.

It’s probably a refurb sold by a 3rd party because I don’t think Walmart sells MacBooks.

This is a great buy and comes highly recommended for a laptop. It will usually go on sale for 699 during holidays.

Mac’s are way better unless you like waiting a half hour for your machine to boot up. They also last way longer and don’t have all of that useless and unnecessary clutter windows machines have built into them.

I also vote for the Macbook, but with today’s SSD hard drives, Windows-based laptops have blazing-fast startup.

Apple is keeping production running for this model only for WalMart.

It’s really hard to overstate how good Apple Silicon is on Macs. Fast, Good, and Cheap. They solved the engineers dilemma.

Doubt you can max out a M2 on undergrad course work.

If you do any video editing or graphic design course work. That may put that laptop to the test.
