The charge cables outlast my phones. What are you doing to the cables?

I had my 6 plus for 4 years with the original lightning cable.

But, I’m married and have had to buy multiple cables for the wife. The Amazon Basics cables last a good while and they’ll warranty them for a year or two.

I have never had an Apple cord go bad. Although, I use multiple ones: one for work, one for car and one for home. So, no single one gets over used.

They are pulling them form the cord, not the hard piece, when taking them out of the phone. And probably resting the cord on their chest/belly when in bed and causing it to have a sharp bend which then breaks the cord and now it wont charge.

Check out the question and answers from the bottom of that Amazon Anker link.

Are you a wizard?

I bet he actually pulls the plug rather than yanks the cord. My wife goes through the same cables I buy while mine stay working. Pretty sure the problem is the user and not the cables.

Braided cord. Amazon. Best buy if it’s an emergency

I did a little research and found that Anker cables had good reviews. I purchased a nylon lightning cable for the house and a braided lightning cable for my vehicle. It’s been about 3 months now and I haven’t had any problems with the cables. They also come in different lengths

I haven't. I've often wondered what people did with those things to frick them up so much.

I have a pile of broken charge cables, and though the Apple ones seem to last longer than any after market ones, they still go to crap in short order.

Are there any made to last?
What are you doing with these things to break them? I have a pile of them too and they all work as good as brand new.

Yes for my macbook cables.

No for iPhone. I have them all over the place, I'm guessing they just don't get enough traffic?

Pretty much the same here. For the last 10 years, I have always purchased enough iPhone and MacBook cables to have chargers for both at my desk, my bed, my couch, and one in my bag for on the go.

I have had tons of the MacBook chargers fail by the connector, but never iPhone cables.

All I have is 10 foot braided cords from Amazon and they’re awesome. And my phone can reach anywhere while charging.

+ 4 or 5 port Anker Wall plug

And lifetime warranty on all cables. I’ve taken advantage of this 3-4 times now for various cables

Apple has lifetime warranty on their items. Just bring it into an Apple store and they will swap it out. Same with earbuds and stuff.

They key is to not drag them all over. If you get real Apple cords and keep one at your office, in your car, in your to go power bank and in your home power bank they will last forever.
