That should’ve been a penalty. The only reason there was minimum contact is because Kane jumped over him. “Attempting to trip” is a foul just like actual tripping, for that exact reason. If the attempt to trip materially effects your ability to continue your play it’s a foul

Goalie should be punished for flying in to a player on a breakaway and completely whiffing on the ball and getting in the way of the player. That’s textbook for what should be punished by a PK.

If Kane had actually jumped over him he would have easily scored, and Kane could have easily done it.
It could have been given but Kane 100% made sure there was contact and it looked awkward because of it.

Yeah I think this is where I fall. I wouldn't have really disagreed had they given it, but Kane easily could have avoided it and scored had he just played normal and not been looking to go down.
