How do you award a free kick to the team that is trailing and then be like actually there isn't time after all? This is why I dont understand soccer time keeping.

Once again. France milks 3-4 minutes of stoppage with flops and they stop it with Paraguay holding the ball
And they were in their defensive third, so that is the correct decision to end the match

That was very reminiscent of what Argentina did following their quarterfinal loss to Germany in 2006. Couldn’t beat them on the field, so acted like a bunch of bitches after the match. In that case, it actually did end up costing Germany as Torsten Frings got suspended for the semifinal against Italy.

I was saying that parking the bus and hoping for PK’s is the blueprint for most teams that are outmatched against France.

1) they are on their defensive half
2) there was 10 seconds left when the foul occurred
3) goalie came out, took his time and kicked the ball further up field to try and get it closer.
Easy to call game there. He put the ball in play and just walked around.
Shitty team doesn’t deserve another chance.
How their guy didn’t have a red after punching two French players in the face is ridiculous.
