It falls under the mistaken identity use of VAR. This is the one that reversed the Ream yellow and gave it to Almiron.

I’m aware. I’m just not sure I’ve seen it that far away from the box. At least not that I can remember.
ETA: if we start doing that going forward to get it out of the game I’m totally fine. I just don’t think that’s going to happen.

The diving has got to be addressed, but I don’t think a 2nd yellow and forcing the Swiss to 10 men in the Semi-final is the right way to go about it.
