I would laugh my arse off if the other two teams just park the bus like this and Spain settles for 3 draws.

No reason for them not to. Spain is either incapable or completely unwilling to press quickly on a counter attack.

I finished my meetings and expected the score to be 4-0 when I turned it on near halftime. Answered a few emails then I think I stood and paced the last 30 minutes.

I really thought the CV guy was going to bury the header when he out jumped everyone at the end.

That should eliminate Spain just on principle.

That really should’ve been Curaçao/Germany adjacent.

Real talk my spidey senses tingled ever so slightly when I saw on Twitter that they were “resting” Yamal & Pedro Porro.

Seemed like they should’ve played them, got up 3-0, and then took them out early

They really needed Yamal to attack the wing. They spent 70% of the game passing it around 10 yards outside CV’s box and hardly creating a way through.

Spain should feel embarrassed by that lackluster performance

Motherfricking Spurs fan mentioning Pedro Porro

You think him being out made a difference?

is it first place of group D and H that meet in Round of 16?

As long as we win our group.

Would be hilarious to get Argentina-Spain in the R32

1st place of D meets 1st of G in R16 if seeding holds. Probably Belgium. But 1H is a potential quarterfinal matchup, so Spain finishing 2nd in that group means we would in theory have a clearer path to semifinal.

But keep in mind if Spain finishes 2nd in their group and we finish 2nd in our group, our R16 matchup would likely be the winner of Argentina-Spain.

It’s tough to look forward to the knockout stages even though I’m tempted to with where we stand in group right now. There’s 5 different groups we could be paired with in first round

Belgium whooped us recently so will definitely root against them finishing top of group G. Path to semi is a lot easier if Spain didn’t take H

Hope everything falls perfectly for us to make a semi/3rd place game. What a dream home WC that’d be
