5 minutes extra time seems short with the hydration break

There’s a lot of value in betting draws at WC. They’re almost common

Half the games so far have been draws

ties around +300, 4 leg parlay

$100 would pay out $25500

They were all pretty fun.

You can find every bit as much fun in a draw as you can in a W in the right circumstances. Draws like Spain and Cabo Verde where one team is completely overmatched and holding on for dear life are fine. Draws like Iran and New Zealand where both teams are throwing haymakers are every bit as fun.

Just a good day of soccer, completely unexpected on paper.

Tomorow will likely suck matchup wise.

I was pleasantly surprised, and yes entertained

Just like in Group H... Group G also decided nothing today

Belgium & Egypt draw 1-1 while Iran & New Zealand draw 2-2

Everyone on 1 point after the 1st set of matches

I'm starting to think that allowing 3rd place finishers to advance has improved the product so far.

Teams that usually know they have no chance to place in the top two in previous years seemed to accept the inevitable and didn't put up much of a fight.

This year those same teams have something to play for and they are competing their asses off to achieve it.

I didn’t get to watch much of the other games. But I agree.

I just hate seeing so many ties.

Ties in soccer aren’t like ties in the old days of college football lol. There’s a tangible gain from them.

Again, take Cabo Verde as an example. This is a nation with half the population of the freaking Birmingham Metro, and they managed to stalemate the favorite to win this tournament. That is an enormously good outcome for them.

Tomorrow is going to be like the old school "Wednesday Night MAC-tion" CFB.

Sure, the teams aren't great...but the games end up being fun to watch.

Not only was it MAC-tion... but also full of Sark After Dark shenanigans
