I guess so but the major outlets ARE saying something about the game and the fan behavior in general. They are just stopping short of calling out the team Mexico fans. Is it too politically incorrect to call out the fans because it would look anti-Mexican, anti-Hispanic? Truth isn’t racist or bigoted. It wasn’t all of them or even the majority of them, but it was a lot.

The MSM has fully jumped on the woke bandwagon. That means specific criticism of the culture of minorities and historical "victims" is off limits. If this were England, there'd be headlines all over the world specifically calling them out and pundits would be proposing fan bans and empty stadiums. But because the offenders here are brown, nothing will be said other than headlines that imply both sets of supporters were misbehaved.

But very few media members will flat out say that it was Mexico fans chanting and throwing shite. Despite everyone in the room knowing this to be the case

Would love to see some critical theory explanation about how intolerant the US is while explaining how the Mexico soccer official Twitter has nothing about pride month and chants puta during games, while the USMNT Twitter has pride stuff everywhere and tweets about how bad the chants are.

Don't hold your breath. I think it's even less sinister than the woke theory, CONCACAF and these tournaments lose millions of dollars with no Mexico. Even the stadiums lose money from the friendlies Mexico play in the US. Until the USMNT is an actual draw for serious American dollars, MX is the golden goose that no one will stand up against seriously.
