Maybe that’s their Arjen Robben payback when he did that exact same thing in the WC.

By the way, I feel sick to my stomach rooting for Mexico right now. It’s nauseating.

A little breathing room over Panama. But I bet by the time we get to Orlando the lead is back down to a point.

Welp, looks like 3/24 and 3/27 are going to be huge. I think I’m going to go ahead and schedule off work Thurs-Fri now.

---------------------------------------------------------

Between the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, the UEFA playoffs, and CONCACAF, it’s an insane week.

And the Oscars on Sunday, for those interested.

Heres the matches at the top of the table on 3/24:

Canada @ Costa Rica
USA @ Mexico
Honduras @ Panama

Huge Matchday. If all the home teams win which is pretty realistic here’s the standings with 2 games left:

Canada 25
Mexico 24
USA 21
———
Panama 20
———
Costa Rica 19

Our last 2 games are against Panama and Costa Rica. Our qualification hopes could come down to the last day and that is going to trigger my PTSD from 2018.

Canada hasn’t lost and you are saying them losing is realistic? A tie is more likely their worst case based on their dominance.

Panama WILL beat Honduras at home. That is the only thing that matters and is guaranteed going into our match with them.

This going to be Canada's B team @ Panama. We better not be counting on a Canada win in this game for US qualification.

Canada only has one team.

Now, will Larin and/or David rest for that third game if they qualify? Probably.

But they will still have some first choice guys in the XI.
