Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Musah the only field player that we didn't use in the two matches?
Did not see that as even being a possible scenario.

Musah not playing is curious to say the least. Maybe it’s just his relative lack of recent minutes with Valencia? Only other thing I can think of is he tends to keep the ball too long before passing, which could create danger against teams like Mexico. But he’s also athletic and good at keeping possession.
I like Lletget, but I’d personally like to see Aaronson on the field over him.

It takes guys a little bit of time to get new players up to speed on the system, which is why we started with guys like Trapp, Zardes, Roldan, etc. until guys like Lletget, Yuiell, Acosta got up to speed. The same thing is happening with Aaronson, Musah, etc. It's clear that they are next in line and it will take a few more reps before throwing them into a competitive game.
The Gold Cup will likely be a time to start breaking in someone to replace Yuiell and Acosta.
Musah seems happy with where things are right now, judging by his reactions after beating Mexico and his social media posts (specifically the one with him cradling the trophy in the locker room). Berhalter can't be more complimentary of him to the press. Fully expect Musah, Dike, Aaronson, Robinson, etc. to start vs Costa Rica.
Musah had also only played 17' since the start of May, and Acosta lives and plays in Denver so he's used to the elevation and fighting in CONCACAF.

Univision/TUDN coverage of Concacaf Nations League final drew a whopping average of 4.2 million viewers, with a peak of 4.9 million.
CBS Sports Network and Paramount+ don't disclose viewership data.
Univision semis:
2.4 million for MEX-CRC
1.3m for USA-HON

Is Musah expected to play in the Gold Cup?

I think the Gold Cup roster will be 100% different.

Acosta involvements vs Mexico
Figured I could link this in here. Acosta actually looks solid in these clips. Had more positive moments than I remember. At the very least he should be miles ahead of Yueill on the depth chart.

Acosta is going to be very valuable in WCQ, because he is physical and is ready to partake in CONCACAF shithousing.
He's not the most tactically sound player, but he is a good depth piece to have considering he's the closest thing to a mobile 6 we have after Adams, and he is a great set piece taker.

Additionally, Gregg Berhalter has said that Zack Steffen and Bryan Reynolds will not be available for selection tomorrow due to injury.
Bummer about Reynolds, was hoping we'd see him some in the friendlies since Gregg already said he won't be in for the Gold Cup.

I don’t mind seeing more Cannon though. I think we quickly need to figure out if he or Yedlin are good enough to warrant keeping Dest on the left and Antonee on the bench. As of right now I don’t think they are.
Reynolds can become that guy one day but he seems a year or two away from really threatening for that spot.

In his few minutes in extra time, Cannon really had some good defensive plays and delivered the assist on Pulisic's penalty.

I think we have some really smart leaders on this team. Between Pulisic talking with Horvath during the VAR review to keep him loose, and this clip of Adams keeping Lainez away from Pulisic prior to the winning goal. LINK

One of the big takeaways from this game was how well the team supports each other. The guys protecting Pulisic during the penalty lead up, Pulisic supporting Horvath, the team making a human shield/wall to protect Reyna from further projectiles when he was on the ground. It’s just awesome to see.

i'm suprised he didnt give Ochoa at least a few minutes in goal, he plays for RSL

Not sure where you could have given him those minutes.
Unless you’re arguing he should have played him yesterday against CR. And even then, I think playing Horvath so he could get a full clean sheet was the right move.
Best thing Ochoa could have done was punt the ball into the stands after beating Mexico. I would have thoroughly enjoyed that.
