Chris Richards is the most important player on the team by far.

Weah may have played his last minute this WC absent an injury.

Haji should have played. Pepi had bad touches all game.

It probably mattered to the folks who paid thousands of dollars for a ticket.

Our defense gives way too much space.

These teams do whatever they want in the final 3rd. Everyone is open and free to run at us when they receive a pass.

Same thing Tottenham did when Poch was there

Germany lost to Ecuador today.

I’m not panicked. We did exactly what we wanted to do. Won the group stage. Have as good of a draw as we could hope for.

Now let’s get the starters back and go to work.

I'm still mad he just didn't kick the ball into the upper deck. That's all he had to do and the whistle would've blown

That one play made everyone forget the US played probably their best 30 minute stretch in WC history in that match.

They should absolutely scare all US fans.

Its a bad match up for the USMNT
They are literally Australia but worse.

People are hyping that game up for no reason.

No game is a given, but out of the advancing teams they are on the short list of teams that we'd want to play.

There’s absolutely no way that’s possible to still be confused about how added time works

But seriously though - welcome to the sport. You’ll love it. Let me know if I can help sort more internal confusion for you

The equivalent of paying thousands of dollars for an NFL preseason game in August.

Disappointing to lose, but overall, the second half was pretty good.

The real negative takeaway moving forward is it’s gonna be hard to trust our subs except for Berhalter.

They were unlucky to not score 4. Aaronsons shank was an open net. The save on pulisics redirect just a great play. If you know this team, you know the subs are a major dropoff, especially the defenders. Full squad plows that team like they did Paraguay.

Man do we need defenders though. I hope we keep Noki Banks

Tell that to the fruitcake who is masquerading as an LSU fan making us look like a bunch of Richard Simmonses.

The overreaction by some to a meaningless game (yes, Stu, it was meaningless) is so typical.

Point is, we can let a meaningless game beat us twice, or respond. That last dagger can have lingering effects if we let it, so let’s not…

Wouldn’t be a big deal if we were Germany, France, or Argentina. Those teams have won cups, and their fans understand group stage strategy. Sit in a 5-4-1 and don’t give up shite, maybe you get lucky and sneak one in or hit on a set piece.

Even though it was mathematically irrelevant, I think our situation is different, cause we ain’t done shite. No more moral victories in a one nil first round knockout loss. I think the momentum of the 3rd win was HUGE - especially since we came out playing for it from the start (despite the mass subs).

If the match mattered, Haji comes on for Pepi instead of getting Weston off the pitch. I’m fine with getting Weston rest instead.

Tough match for Pepi for sure.

Glad we gave a run out to the 2nd strung shite dicks tonight. Hopefully none of them will see meaningful action going forward. Weah was atrocious, Arohnson and Pepi were suseless. Turner and the back line were weak as well. Doesn’t mean anything but what an absolute momentum killer. Just so mediocre… and predictable.

This is the problem with the men’s national team, lack of depth and zero self awareness in big moments. Giving up a goal that late in extra time is sloppy and show extremely poor effort. The stage is too big for them unfortunately
