Only because there's no gameday thread and I needed to post about how sexy that counter was. Thing of beauty.

Absolutely not. Sancho has been underwhelming since he’s been at United and was again today.
He’s not the reason we tied, but he wasn’t good.

Is it time for Ole to hit the road?

I actually thought Sancho was really good today outside of one bad pass (went out for a throw for United) and that final shot.
I’ve been super critical of him going back to last season at Dortmund, but he created some good chances which is what you want. That lack of an elite CDM continues to be killer.

Not sure what match you watched but Sancho was great today when he came on
Created some good chances, took his defender on and looked dangerous

His relative performance was better today but his past performances have been so lack luster that it wasn’t that difficult. He kept possession better without the dumb giveaways but he hasn’t even come close to the hype, the 2 year pursuit and the price tag in my opinion.
It’s early in his tenure but he’s got to adapt quicker. If martial hasn’t scored in 8 months and constantly sulks on the pitch (not today) and starts over you then that says something.

Thought Sancho was much improved today from last performances I’d seen.
I truly don’t understand why we can’t score more goals. I tend to blame Fred/mctominay and their lack of incisive passing and inability to move the ball quickly. Thought they were better today in those regards though and still nothing to show for it.

quote:. I agree. Today wasn’t the best timing for my Sancho post but I still firmly believe it. Built up frustration I guess.

I thought Martial looked rusty as hell Saturday, and benefited greatly from Bruno putting his goal on a silver platter for him. Otherwise Martial did jack shite, but hopefully that does something for his confidence.
I would start Lingard and over Sancho right now until he gets acclimated to the league. Bring him on a sub for pace/ creativity.

Glazers are selling £137 million in shares to cash in. Basically non voting shares

I just don't trust them with any move regarding the clubs finances.

How tf is matic still employed?
Posted on 10/16/21 at 10:49 am to The Mick
Matic wasn’t bad today
But should have been taken off for DVB at about 65mins in
OGS tactically has lost the plot

We are SO reliant on our star players making special plays, and our star players were duds today. Maguire with a nightmare of a game

OGS needs to go this is pathetic

Ole is the Clay Helton of football managers.

I don't think it's just on Ole, but I guess it is as well. Sometimes professional players need to take responsibility for their laziness and poor play. Of course you want your coach to get the best out of them and have them prepared for the game though so it is on Ole too. But you could point out every player on the team besides De Gea, Matic, and Greenwood early, and say they played like complete shite. Bruno and Pogba have been playing awful for weeks at United. Pogba won 2 out of his 16 ground duels. Maguire was absurdly bad. Shaw has been awful all season. Aaron Wan Bissaka... shite. Ronaldo couldn't connect with cut backs or crosses today and he had several opportunities. Sancho didn't look good at all. Bruno and Pogba don't want to get back and play defense, so teams make one pass and completely cut through the midfield and are instantly in on the back four who have just been playing so poorly. It seems like a lot of the starters are just disinterested. I'd just play Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood, Van De Beek, Matic, Fred, Telles, Dalot, Lindelof and Bailly and tell the others to wake the frick up. If not, you won't have to worry about trophies at all this season for much longer.

glad united won. all it took was a dismal 1st half, back against the wall, do or die mentality with the managers job becoming increasingly at risk.
united has some players that combine really well together but overall like sch said, waiting for a moment of individual brilliance. tactically inept. can anyone actually say what uniteds game plan was today?
