Less than:

West Ham
Wolves
Fullham
Nottingham Forest
Leeds
Southamptom
Crystal Palace

LINK

Maybe one day ManU will learn how to spend 5x+ more in the window and get 0.75x the results

Are we trying to go back to the time united won a serious trophy here or what?

Nice nitpicking of data. City would be in League 1 without billions of $ of oil money

This is lazy as frick without including contract/agent fees etc. City have been pretty efficient but transfer fee only tells half the story.

Maybe that would overtake Leeds

City is #2
United is #1

Then Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham.

Looking at spending over both 5 and 10 years really highlights how underperforming West Ham is

Uh, I started the "long time Man City fan" schtick on here like literally 7-8 years ago.

I have made the same arguments about investing to overcome institutional barriers during that time. I predicted years ago that City would get to a level where they weren't out-spending everyone, and that has happened.

Was the overcoming fine with the 115 infractions? Because they cooked the books like crazy. Wasn't the shirt deal like 300 million or something stupid?

Is it factored in for the others?

I mean when you hide your financials and make payments to people in one club through another…

As someone who likes to tout the law, you really don’t mind when it’s your people that break it.

It's been 5 years since the last alleged charge in 2018. This thread is about the past 5 years.

Only 12 charges involve player remuneration and those allegations end in 2015.

30 charges (26.1% of the total) are administrative "breaches of assisting the Premier League investigation" allegations and have nothing to do with money at all.

This doesn't involve "the law"

Nothing has been proven

The allegations also aren't really related to this thread. Are you arguing that once City stopped cheating they became an even better club?

ETA: I have made it long on here that I do not care about revenue because those regulations were only put in place to protect legacy clubs, which is a worse policy and is worse for the competition of the league than what City is accused of doing. Again just look at the ineptitude of Manchester United and ask yourself why you want institutional protections for them to give them unfair advantages over the rest of the league and their utter incompetence
