I think what the World Cup revealed above all was that we are lacking in attacking talent on the wings.
Bedoya did well defensively but provided nothing on offense. Zusi is just overmatched against elite competition and offered little going forward.
We need some dynamic wingers.
Honestly, we were outplayed for long stretches in most of our matches. Still, with a healthy Jozy and slightly better wing play, I think our defense and holding midfield play was quality enough to put us through to the semis.

I was giving him a lot (maybe too much) credit for freeing up Fab to make runs. That and the fact that he never really screwed up badly left me at a B, but I definitely thought about it. C is a fair grade for him, IMO.

I felt that way with Bradley at times. Wondo got in the positions needed to score. He just lacks the class to finish on this stage. Not saying we shouldn't play Bradley or that he's not our best option. But maybe he ran so much cus he was chasing the game the whole tournament. Keep possession make some passes and he wouldn't have to jog around in circles the whole tourney.

I give Klinsmann a B. A few head scratching changes to the starting lineup and not subbing in someone (Green) directly after Belgium's first goal.

I can agree with this.
Having to use a sub in the 30th minute really hurt us.

At the beginning of the tournament, I thought it would've been crazy to bring T Boyd over Wondo. But after yesterday, I really really wish we had. He definitely has the confidence in front of the goal that would've been clutch in the desperate moments.

In hindsight, if we really wanted to attack like Jurgen always said he would do, we would have started Yedlin at RM with Fab behind him. We knew Vertonghen at LB was a weak link in their D and Zusi couldn't do anything to expose that.

He would get subbed out and I would say to myself I don't remember the last time i heard his name called.
As far as Bradley, i always wanted him to play more up front and thought he'd be better up there. I and everyone else was wrong. He belongs in the back, and i think he's great back there. He controls the game much much better when he plays behind the center mids and makes his occasional runs up.

Id say A. I think he got the most out of this team. Got out of a good group, went to the wire with the dark horse of the tourney. And we did this with less talent than any team we played. I can't really fault him against Belgium. Early injuries can really mess up the whole game plan.
Either way there are positives to take away from this. We should have a solid core of guys moving forward. Which is why I wasn't opposed to bringing these young guys, so their first time playing won't be in 2018. Now u are really only looking to replace 2-3 solid contributors, one being Howard which I have complete faith in guzan to do.

I LOL at everyone complaining about Gonzo's positioning.
Everyone acts like our midfield and attackers make it so easy on our backline. Our amount of possession in the midfield is AIDS. Gonzo and Besler were under siege the entire 200+ minutes vs Germany and Belgium.
Gonzo strength is clearly emergency defending and headers, but everyone grading him like shite is harsh.
He should be no lower than a B.

I think Omar played better than you give him credit for. He started against Belgium and Germany mainly because of crosses to their tall players. I think he did a good job of that. He got caught out of position a few times but he made up for it well for the most part. Could have done better on the ball, but no one has ever considered him to be a distributer.
I think Bradley did better than most people give him credit for. He did well on the defensive end and played out of position most of the time. Made some great passes throughout the tournament. He was much better on the ball against Belgium than Jones was.

Dempsey's play leading up to the World Cup was about as complacent as you could be.
