It's got a pretty simple looking design, but man those fans are right on top of the pitch.

Should have taken all three points, that last VAR review was whack. Clear handball. Dudes arm was at a 90 degree angle and leaning Into it.

The absolute state…

It makes me sad how utterly boring and mediocre (or worse) AUFC have become.

LINK

Away Days did a video at the Orlando City game. Thought they were very complimentary of the team, and MLS in general. It's long but there are some good clips in it if you are a neutral.

I’m an FC Dallas season ticket holder. So far, they have had a much better product with their additions and new coach.
My son is currently an academy player, but will have to find a different club because he wants to play for his high school. They don’t allow that

Agreed with the first point. You would think that they would be more flexible about the high school thing though.

It really is more than that. I was simplifying it.

They want you to basically be schooled by them and live there. Couldn’t see that for a 14 year old. It’s basically like sending your child (if he played football) to IMG academy. I don’t want him out of the house THAT bad! And he didn’t want to do that either. Homeschooling wasn’t an option either.

I mean, he’s a good player, but I don’t think he’s going to go directly from there to the pros. Plus, he’ll have plenty of opportunities playing for another large club in the area that have elite teams. There’s no shortage of scouts at tournaments (college and pro) and plenty of smaller semi-pro and pro teams. Outdoor and indoor.

I know one kid who played for a small club who now plays for Benifica in Spain and was picked out by a scout at a tournament. They were there to scout one of other teams’ kids.

Are you thinking of Keaton parks? He got scouted and played with Benfica (actually in Portugal) and ended up at NYCFC.

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, how did your son get involved in the FC Dallas set up? How do their youth teams and youth development compare to other clubs in the area?

Cheers mate - I've Portland season passes even though I've been a Columbus ultra from early on. Quite similar to how I've Seattle Seahawks club ducats despite being a Saints ultra and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers supporter the the duration of Tom Brady's time there

Since Austin is Portland lite, I wouldn't mind taking 3 from them today.
