MLS officiating is the absolute most dogshit officiating of any pro league in the US. Austin was absolutely gifted a point tonight by Dickerson’s ineptitude.

I watched the replay of that and it looks like he didn't see that player and was trying to kick it a lot further downfield. Yikes.

The first red card/handball was questionable.

The second one was an absolute red.

Scoring opportunity: handball yellow card.

Free kick just outside the box from that handball: same player handball again.

If he hadnt just received a yellow card warning for the same infraction, that's one thing. But literally on the freekick from his foul, he commits the same exact foul.

The ref is in a tough spot. He almost HAS to give him the second yellow in that situaton. Or else, why issue the first yellow? It's meaningless if you issue him a card for it once and then allow him to do it again immediately afterwards as just a normal foul.

Neither should have been a handball, and for sure the second wasn’t a handball. Even if the first is a handball, it wasn’t card worthy.

The second tackle maybe is a card, but it didn’t even look like he touched him. It at least wasn’t clear and obvious enough for VAR to retroactively give him a red.

Besides the cards, the ref clearly fricked up what should have been a goal kick and gave a corner that allowed them to equalize. He also gave a bullshite yellow to Jansen when an Austin player ran into him and then flopped down.

It was terrible officiating top to bottom.

That game was lit. I was sitting right by the Orlando fan section and man, they were trashy as hell.

It was clear that he at least tries to kick him in the nuts with cleats exposed. It doesn’t matter if he makes contact at that point. Would a red be warranted if a player took a swing at another player and missed?

I had one Orlando fan a few seats down. He acted straight up like an Aggie fan.

I'll take the W against LAFC anytime, especially in the cup. I'm sure their soyboy fans are depressed today.

Orlando and Atlanta fans are 1 and 1a on the insufferable meter. Both equally entitled.

I mean… he kicked at him way way after the ball was gone. It was a clear red.

Nipples had a brace tonight and was a tit hair shy of a hat trick. He flopped and time wasted like a bitch in the first half for a solid 5 minutes, but he really dominated us on the wing all night. Orlando held Jesus mostly in check, which was surprising.

The Chicharito talk on Univision is unbearable.

Not as bad as Kolmanic has played, but still not good.

Feels good to finally get some scoring going. I'd prefer we finish strong than start strong like last season and it's good to beat Austin twice since Dallas and Houston got LAG recently. Just stay in playoff position and for the love of God don't finish the season in first place in the conference!

Have a friend behind the scenes. Coach completely lost the locker room with things he was doing. Final straw was getting back at 2am after Seattle game and having training session early afternoon rather than letting them recover. It apparently has been building for a while now between him, his staff and players.

Galaxy to take on their 4th straight CA team in the Open Cup tonights against Sacremento Republic. Jovelic has been killing it and needs more game time. I can see Galaxy trying to sell Cabral if he doesn't get it together by the end of this season.

And frick LAFC for taking a player from the Italian team and buying him. Now I have to hate Chiellini when he plays.
