That's not true, it's quite simple. Stop trying to join NATO and going against their word. Everyone want to blame Putin for going against his word but ignores Ukraine going against theirs and provoking Russia? Look, there is no outcome in this where Ukriane emerges the winner. That's why they have to cut their losses now and recognize they will never be in NATO. That is their only way forward without losing their entire nation. They will have no men left, they aren't winning a war of attrition against Russia, even with our current help.

It’s anything but simple. It’s impossible choices.

They had nukes. That was their protection. Got rid of them because Russia promised to recognize their sovereignty. That was a lie. Putin has PROVEN his real intentions TWICE already.

Ukraine clearly believes that Without nukes, they will lose their entire nation anyway.

Also I thought we all generally agreed that self-defense was a fundamental right of individuals and nations?

Yeah, and isn't crossing an international border without proper documentation illegal?

Are you referring to Russia violating Ukraine’s borders starting in 2014? If so, I definitely agree.

Zelensky and the globalists are beyond sick. Can you imagine if Russia started Assassinating our Generals on US soil because they didn't want the War to end.
Oh no! Not a general. Only 18 year old boys (and Ukrainian apartment dwellers)are supposed to die in war.

Yes, I was sort of piling on to your point.

I was just rhetorically asking why aren't all the people screaming for the illegals to leave our country also screaming for the illegals to leave Ukraine.

You're over thinking this. It's not about who is right or wrong. He's lost an entire generation of men. He's not going to win. He's lucky to lose only what he has. His only hope of a country after this is to make a deal now. Not draw it out.

Ukraine really, really, does not want a Peace Deal.

Trump (and us) should now walk away, wishing Ukraine and our perpetual dependents (not our adult children, but the Europeans) the best of luck.

If Europe wants a war and apparently, they do, they should immediately implement the massive socio-economic changes required to live (and fight) without Uncle Sugar.

Waiting for people to chime in with: "But, they're our friends and are really nice people." Anti-democratic National Security welfare cheats and smugly arrogant blowhards. Time to throw the deadweight over the side.

Why does everybody start with that?

The facts are:
quote:

Putin really, really, does not want a Peace Deal.
and
quote:

Ukraine really, really, does not want to give up their sovereignty.

Why is this so hard for some people to acknowledge?

Because they can’t win. They need to surrender to save what they have left

Vietnam fought off the Japanese, the French, the Americans and the Chinese over the course of 30 years before gaining their independence. All of those countries were WAY more powerful than Vietnam.

Hell, Washington fought for over 8 years against a global superpower, losing most of his battles, before finally achieving independence - with the help of another global superpower.

The Soviet Union was at war in Afghanistan for 10 years before finally deciding they couldn't take it anymore.

I bet you've referred to the French as "surrender monkeys" too, haven't you?

Tyranny central in Ukraine. Too much at stake for them to give up now. besides the previous administration, there are other countries that need to have their money laundered.

That the projection is so consistent implies that it's somehow being directed.

You could just as easily have said:
quote:

Tyranny central in Russia.

But you didn't for some 'unknown' reason.

Ukraine wants to join the EU even with its stricter anti-corruption requirements. Putin wants them in his EEAU, corrupt and all so that he may control them through corruption and tyranny.

I know everyone here likes to dump on Ukraine and gargle Putin's testicles, but this dude is in military uniform directing military operations. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the war, he's a legitimate target.

I agree. We need to completely step away from that war. It is a war between two countries. Neither one is in NATO and requires our obligation to help. Let them do war things in war.

How would one know if Russia was intentionally targeting civilians? Missiles do weird things once they get shot at and hit. Good God we splattered entire cities to the ground in WW2. Is war different now? Or is war. War? Ukraine shelled over 14,000 Russians to death in the Donbass before this war even started and one of the reasons for it.
