I’ll attach a snippet from the link but it’s a good quick read. This could have been a lot worse than it was but it goes to confirm that this was indeed a “China Virus.”

Yeah, I just read that. Something about trying to re-engineer MERS, too. If it spread like covid, and kept the same lethality, it would be devastating.

Science didn’t cause Covid, that’s ridiculous. Scientists caused covid. Either way, you’re implying that we can’t trust science because “science” caused Covid? What about the million other things that “science” has done for the world?
It’s like saying, we can’t trust God (I’m an atheist anyway but I’ll make an educated guess that you aren’t) because of all the holy wars religion has caused.

Its nothing like that, but science is a product of man - and therefore comes with all of the greed and treachery that is our nature. Engineering a weapon that could evaporate the entire planet is a scientific endeavor, but that doesnt make it moral or even useful to humankind. There's hundreds of bad movies about this.
There's a reason many scientists take oaths... There's a reason they review each other's work... There's a reason gain of function was once defunded. Science is like a loaded gun.

It means it has to be factored into the relative good that science does. And to realize that without this misguided niche of science, Covid wouldn’t have happened.
