We would need a west coast port if the national divorce would ever develop.
That said, if all it took was those 3 states to transplant the rest of libs in America to form a separate nation I’m all in.

Only if, in return, we got Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon and NT with a little corner of northeastern B.C. to complete a contiguous land route to Alaska.
You make that deal with Canada and I'm 100% on board. Most of the people in those Canadian territories want to be part of the USA anyway. The majority of California, Washington and Oregon would rather be part of Socialist Canada. It's a win/win.

Good point. Instead I would give all of California north of southern L.A. That would leave us the best port on the West Coast in San Diego.

They can have a small strip going up the west coast that would include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. On the map it would resemble Chile.
