Atlantic Station is now a war zone with thugs assaulting GT students who live nearby. There have been several black teen takeovers there over the years.

The ATL (like Houston) was infected by Hurricane Katrina refugees which really hastened Atlanta’s demise.

Atlanta is now a shite hole because of “culture” and illegals. There really is no debate if you are objective and not under the spell of some Woke/DEI ideology.

How do such a large percentage of them end up in prison? They just walking into the penitentiary like it’s an extended stay?

Come on y’all.

Yes. Everyone in America knows black people don’t get arrested.

It’s hard to believe you and I live on the same planet.

Nice we live in Birmingham and have been looking up that way in the Pell City/Talladega area. We are 53, so not at retirement yet, but we just paid off the house and ready to find the spot we will head to retirement in.

Look at Smith Lake rather than Logan Martin Lake. The water is much, much cleaner. We bought a place at Smith in 2002 after looking at both lakes. Have never regretted the decision. I personally would not get in the water at Logan Martin!! Too many PCBs and other pollutants.

No I am not. I have friends whose kids are at GT and GA State who are considering getting their kids out and going to GA College and State in Milledgeville; GA Southern; North GA, even UGA (although Athens is a liberal shithole because of the local government.

Please tell me specifically how I am clueless home boy.

My son is at Tech. I am down ITP two or three times a week. Your hyperbole is greatly over exaggerated.

Nope. You just don’t want to acknowledge that your kid is living in a dangerous place if he or she lives anywhere near the outer edges of Tech’s campus.

Hey, GT is a great engineering school. I used to teach environmental classes for the GTRE (Georgia Tech Research Institute) from 1993-2018. I am still in contact with several employees at GT who have told me that it is a known problem outside of the campus. Poor GA State really has no campus so if your kid goes there…..good luck. A good friend of mine had a daughter that started at GA State. After 1 semester, he told me that she was almost weekly harassed by culture just walking to class. 2nd semester she was at GA Southern in Statesboro where she finished.

Another friend’s kid was at GT in engineering. Got assaulted by a home boy her sophomore year. Finished at AU. Parents said their son would not go to school in a city like Atlanta. These folks are fairly liberal as well.

Your kid’s GT diploma if in engineering will get he or she far so congratulations on that.

I lived in Atlanta from1980-1987. Great place. Would not consider living there now.

Do you disagree and why?

There were entire apartment buildings in Gwinnett Co that housed Katrina refugees. Same for Fulton, Dekalb and Clayton County. I know because I had to do Lead-Based Paint Inspections in them for HUD.

Without a doubt. It was quite shocking for a lot of people when a black family moved to our quaint mountain county in NC from the eastern part of the state. I’ve become friends with the father because our boys are both good athletes and play together in multiple sports year round. I’m not exactly politically correct, but some of the things he says about the area and people he left I wouldn’t say

The problem is men like him in the black community are often shamed into silence.
