Riding Marta is a bad decision.
Cobb was 100 percent right to not allow it to be built into the county

Downtown ATL is an absolute shite hole full of crime and disgusting homeless.
The airport is great but I’ll take living an hour north at the base of the mountains than a million dollar home in the highlands with trash surrounding me if I leave my hood.
The only issue is having Alpharetta starting to leak into South Forsyth county and turn it to a shite hole.

Gwinnett too. But Gwinnett has gone downhill rapidly as well!

People who don't live here don't understand it Every single day there is something to do in ATL proper or one of the suburbs College football, baseball, basketball Braves, Falcons, Hawks There is a major concert every single week on top of many 2nd tier concerts Great airport Endless festivals everywhere The beltline Great food and nightlife scene Top 10 shopping destination in the country that aren't actually dead malls Yes, traffic sucks but you (well at least I do) just kind of get used to it
Don’t forget about Superica.

This happened on a line in SW ATL, a well known area you don't go.
These days, when traveling, it's hard to parse the "no-go" zones unless you're from there or are close with someone who's from there.
The risks of certain areas are hidden, underreported, and sanitized because facts are 'racist'.

A lot of friends of mine have fled to Jefferson and towards to mountains. We fled to Lake Logan Martin in Talladega, AL and it was a great decision!

Yea Gwinnett went down first because it’s right there as Atlanta expands.
Eventually all of Forsyth will become a shite hole, mainly because they are now building condos and apartments all over so I give it 3 years before they are half section 8.
I’m going to end up going west and north to Calhoun or moving up above dawsonville.
It’s sad because north Forysth has great access to hiking, the lakes, and it’s a easy hour ride into the airport but it’s going to be a shite hole eventually.

That’s a great area, we drive through it sometimes to go back to Baton Rouge.
I could live in that area for sure or a lot of middle to East Tennessee if we didn’t stay in North GA.
The other option is to go out west

Standing in line minding my own business in very S Texas HEB and the only “ dread lock culturist” I saw the whole time I’ve been here ; started threatening me for no reason at all calling me every racist name you can think of. I had to tell HEB to call their security.

I'd have to strap up Lara Croft style before daring to step foot on public transit.

Glad I moved away from that shite hole.
Atlanta would be exactly like Memphis if it weren’t for Georgia Tech being able to attract future STEM professionals to the city along with the Delta headquarters and airport.

Even full on Laura Croft costume you’d look normal compared to the jerkoffs walking around.

I live in a similar city and there’s only “there is so much to do” that can excuse the dysfunction. I don’t do nightlife anymore so the only things I’d give a shite about are food and sports, and one of those you can do on tv.

I love North GA. Especially Blue Ridge, Lake Burton, etc. We landed on Logan Martin as an “equidistant” place between our 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters. We have one daughter in Hoschton, one in Midtown and one in Franklin, TN.

It’s best to just assume that within a mile of where you are anywhere in the metro-ATL area is ghetto trash or MS13 gang members (especially in “Gwinnexico”.
Back in the early 2000’s I had a Gwinnett Co commissioner tell me that Gwinnett was advertised in Mexico as a place that illegal aliens could go and prosper. I can tell you without a doubt that the advertising was very effective.
I lived in Alpharetta from 1987-2000 and Lawrenceville from 2000 to 2021. After we sold our house we rented in Buford for two years waiting for my wife to retire and finding a lake property to retire to.

That's cgreat and all. Sounds like you are a lazy couch potato which is fine because door dash is very good in Atlanta
You should look into relocating to The Villages.. sounds more like your vibe

Save money for a trial and execute him on the spot. Until the punishment is extremely harsh they ain't stopping.
