It is very obvious from your stupid remark that you do not know Julia. If you would like to take an IQ test with her, I have $ 10,000.00 that I will bet she test higher than you. She is brilliant and has the same beliefs and convictions as Luke did. She will win with 70% + of the votes in our district. I am certain she will do a wonderful job and you may want to think that she is doing this for the future of her children.

Does she understand there isn't a day care in Congress and that the hours are insane not to mention how is she going to raise two small kids and do this job.

2 things that make sense:

1. Nobody in congress works. Where did you get that rubbish.

2. Everyone in congress becomes a millionaire overnight. See aoc and how rich she is now...a server in a bar.

Yeah..its a great idea to get rich and protect you and your childrens future. I wish I could.

I just don't get why someone would vote for the spouse of an elected official. Hell, she might be even better than her husband was, but just because they were married shouldn't mean a damned thing.

This is actually sort of longstanding tradition, when congressmen suddenly die. It’s a two year term.

Congress members don't have free healthcare. You people who post this narrative need to get your facts straight. I have a close family member who's a member of the House. When he was elected several years ago, he paid $1600 a month for healthcare. If any of them have "free" healthcare, it's because they get it through their spouse's employer's insurance.

He also received a 72% subsidy on the cost and was entitled to free healthcare at any military base in the D.C. area...

So, he probably "paid" $448 per month if he did not go the pre-tax route for his health insurance...

I don’t know his wife, but my comments remain valid. If AOC, a dumb bartender with zero experiences in politics can be elected to office, anyone can. And setting a precedent that widows of dead politicians take their place is a bad practice.

They work about 5000 hours if you include cocktail parties and pedo stuff.

She has a PhD and is plenty qualified. And yes her children need her. They need her to be strong, honor their fathers legacy and teach them that everyone can do amazing things even when facing the worst adversity.

Her kids don’t need her sitting at home crying into a pint of ice cream and popping antidepressants like you seem to think she’s only capable of doing.

Take it from someone raised by a single mom widowed with two small kids.

I applaud this women for doing exactly what is in the best interest of her country, her family, and her husband’s legacy.

Looks like we have the GOP version of Hale and Lindy Boggs here.

Julia is qualified for the job and will do a fine job representing Northeast Louisiana.

Sorry, but this is not a good idea for her children at this time. She needs to heal with her kids and sit this one out.

I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she is a nice lady and good mom doing what she thinks is best for her children’s future. Yet the very second she takes the oath of office, she becomes a part of the problem.

The current crisis continues until we move away from this absurd notion that if we only elect the right slate of electors, we can restore normalcy to the Potomac Cesspool. Washington D.C. can no more be “reformed” than a malignant cancer.

If anyone knows her or someone working on her campaign, Send me that information so I can get a 4 foot by 8 foot sign to put up in my yard, just like I had for her husband! I live on a major highway and need a big sign.

So literally no solution is possible then.

Well, that makes things easy...

My first wife was instinctually, a functional retard, but very attractive. This is good example of why you put someone in office, just because they were married to the person who left their seat vacant.
