What would they disagree with? It’s a statement of fact per the CDC that 71 people died from Covid-19 the week ending 7/4/2020. They would certainly agree with me that hand washing is highly effective in preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
I’m merely asking for a scientific assessment that masks prevent the spread of Covid-19. We’re 3 pages in on this topic and no one has been able to produce 1 single study.
There’s been conjecture, there have been lectures, and there have been feel-good’isms, but no concrete indisputable scientific evidence from a study by a reputable source.
So, why the emphasis on wearing masks?

The masks work. Are they perfect? No. But if they can reduce the wildfire-like spread in nursing home like settings, which I've seen personally, then they can reduce community spread. That can lead to lessening restrictions and a more open economy.

that same "so damn hot" is why they become increasingly dangerous TO THE WEARER after about 15-30 minutes of use.
As an opponent of FORCED UNIVERSAL MASKING and its totalitarian precepts, I find "increasingly dangerous TO THE WEARER" "feature" very humorous (brownshirt humor aside).

it really looks like this virus is not anywhere near as dangerous as we have been told by "experts" and the fear mongering media
it also looks like Sweden made the right call in keeping everything, especially schools, open
it also looks like the DeSantis strategy of concentrating on the most highly at risk has been the best one implemented so far
lastly, it sure looks like this thing is being used as a stick to bludgeon Trump and conservatives in general
having said all of that, why is herd immunity not the answer? and do you disagree with my take on this?
if we really do have as many cases as being reported, or dramatically more cases that are still unidentified, why is that scary news and why should I be alarmed as the death rates continuing to decline?
