You guys politicize everything to the point where it's just embarrassing. If you don't think you should be forced to wear a mask, that's totally fine. There's nothing wrong with that. But to shame people who wear masks and to say that you can't even fathom why anyone would wear one just makes you look stupid. Maybe they live with their 95 year grandmother? Maybe they are a cancer survivor and getting it would be a terrible situation?

Every little thing you don't like has to be because "that's part of the left's agenda". Yeah we get it, they suck. But they aren't the mastermind behind every single thing happening that you don't like.

Two of the three people that I know who have it are mask wearers — both are overweight as well but they swore by masks and now they have it.

So ... do masks help???

Not if you touch your mask to put it on then touch the avocado, then next person touches avocado and rubs their eyes.

I’m not sure I know what you’re referencing. I’ve never mentioned politics nor advocated anything other than an increased emphasis on hand washing. I have continued to ask for empirical evidence masks are effective in preventing Covid-19.

My request was met by one individual calling me “feeble minded,” while proceeding to link to an article that clearly stated there has been no study on the effectiveness of masks.

I can only conclude there is zero empirical evidence masks prevent the spread of Covid-19. This begs the question, on what grounds can a municipality mandate and enforce citizens wear masks? .. figured I would ask since you cracked open the door for me.

This board has consistently gone full retard when it comes to this virus.

Masks reduce transmission, as in prevent infectious droplet spread, but don’t prevent it completely.

Think of a cloth mask like a suppressor on a firearm and an N95 respirator as a pair of ear muffs.

If you don’t want to wear a mask, fine it’s your business, but don’t pretend you’re smarter than everyone else because “they don’t do anything”. You’re wrong.

Do you all throw little mini MAGA rallies in front of stores that have “No shirt, no shoes, no service” signs? No, you don’t because this isn’t about science or liberty or anything else like that. This is about you and your ilk trying to help your dear leader save face for flubbing this entire thing from the beginning.

If the tables were turned and Trump was the one selling red MAGA masks and the entire scientific world was saying “DO NOT WEAR A MASK”, you all would be sewing the damn things to your stupid heads and you know it.

They give the left fodder

“Muh hoax”

Acknowledging the virus will be around for years and thinking of a long term strategy to deal with that is the correct way to go. Pretending it’s not there or that we can hide from it are both idiotic strategies of dealing with it.

It’s not only an attack on science, it’s also an attack on common sense. It is a known fact that masks reduce the transmission of the virus.

All these mask doubters can go volunteer at the local Testing Center or Hospital ICU without wearing a mask if they think they know better.

The resistance against masks is mind boggling. You would think the idea of not shutting anything down and just wearing masks would be very appealing to most.

Surgeons are notorious for not being able to see the forest for the trees.

Droplets will pass through masks but will be so impeded that they fall to the ground much faster.

The 6ft social distance rule comes from how far droplets travel.

Masks make that 6ft more like 1 foot.

Again, think of a suppressor. The gun isn’t completely silent but it helps.

Again, false. The CV19 R0 is now believed to be up to 4X that of flu.

No, no it's not. And you're second statement is not only BS, it's non-responsive.

Yes, one viron can pass thru the "gaps" in a mask.

But that viron is PROBABLY suspended in a vapor droplet, rather than roaming free. That droplet is MUCH, MUCH larger.

Divert or stop the droplet, and you divert or stop all the little virons riding in it.

This ain't brain surgery.

We don’t even know if virons not suspended in droplets can even be infectious.

When I likely was contagious, but before I had been tested and confirmed positive, I wore an N95 mask on a work visit. My colleagues that I was in close proximity to (and even shared a car with) didn’t contract the virus. I’m sure they appreciate that much more than anything else. And I’m glad I wore the mask to protect them.
