George Carlin has a great bit about the real owners
Oh gosh how I wish the word young applied to me. You posed a “what about”question I merely asked you how you knew those things weren’t happening already. You’re posting like this is an incredibly bad thing and it may not be. we simply don’t know.
Well, in all honesty, our bully is getting things done
In the spirit of civil debate, I would ask you how you know those things aren’t happening?
Ma’am, we cannot have foreign nations manipulating our hemisphere.
I remember watching the Manson trials as a child. I remember thinking how wrong it had to be to give the admitted killers “ the benefit of the doubt” and yet we have people that will swear up and down than an unborn child is not a human as if that were a fact.. They think they’re right and you’re never going to convince them otherwise, but the day will come.
And once again, I regret to say, nothing will be done.
Muslims own or lease most of the gas stations here. It started in the ‘80’s when the EPA cracked down on the old “full service” stations over oil and chemical disposal and forced many to put new tanks in the ground. Those people said “frick it” and either sold out or leased out the property. After 9/11 I wondered what would happen if they all got the message one day and lit fire to all of them. Kinda hard to get to work if there are no gas stations. Just speculation. Later they formed associations forcing vendors to negotiate pricing and incentives. All the while respecting no franchise rights and shipping in cheaper products from family across the country. You’d walk in and find a huge pile of your product from somewhere else. Most companies don’t have the balls to pull all of their equipment on site and quit them. I’ve seen them pull some stuff

Inflation -Regulation - downstream from regulation is credentialism, lack of training unless you pay for it yourself or do it for free, etc. It’s harder to get your foot in the door, and the pay and growth rate are less than before. Global competition. Boomers just had to compete with those in their city or local communities, younger folks have to compete with everyone in the nation and the world including cheap 3rd world labor that will work for absolutely nothing. -Cost of housing, cost of vehicles, cost of healthcare. It’s a no brainer than boomers grew up in a freer and more upwardly mobile world. Materially things are better, but we're not moving anywhere.

Probably the post I could agree with the most as a general assessment of how it went down. I was there
Why do you feel the need to defend savage mentally ill people by noting other savage mentally ill people? Are you gay and feel like you’re being singled out? Do you have something against religion? It’s just a strange thing to be so offended by someone noting the sexual mental illness of murderers. Why?
Because some of us have to pay to get them and would lose everything if we got caught without them. Some don’t have that problem
Even here in Alabama I’ve had to use a translator on my phone to communicate with about 5-6 the last year. From car haulers to freight drivers
Sweet. Can you give me the lotto numbers too? And tell me me agin how we were all gonna die by 1987……Pffft

Yeah I thought it was supposed to be a bit of a hassle to get one. I guess not.

Damn it. It cost me about $180, fingerprints, background check and physical this past year to renew. It must be a state thing cause Bama ain’t playing.

No I suppose not. Barring a shift from President Trumps efforts to rein some of it in..we are at risk of being completely subjugated. But I’m certain unbridled liberty would not come with bridled self control and bring about a bit of a “Wild West” society. Most people will never go along with that. The search for the sweet spot continues……

No shite. I can promise you aren’t more free market than I am. I think they should be able to sell heroin at Circle K. That wasn’t the point of my post.

I’m in on principle, but I can’t endplay a good outcome on the results.
Could it be the way the feds got seat belt and helmet laws? If the state didn’t kneel and pass these laws, they didn’t get highway grants. It wasn’t because they “loved everyone” or they cared about the people’s safety. Frick no. We have those laws for fed money
“So brave….”

Ha haaaaa. “Ain’t no fun when the rabbits got the gun..”. Is it sugar?
What a great thread. Thought I was the only one…..
