You’ve obviously not spent much time in Mississippi outside of the Gulf Coast. Some of you people need to get out more

This guy gets it. Think about the last governor's election. You literally had a major Republican donor come out from behind the curtain to run because no one else would. Then that finally got a Congressman from NE LA to enter later on.
Meanwhile you had Edwards who at the time was seen as a pretty conservative Democrat....pro gun and pro-life and was just as competent fiscally as Jindal, which is to say not . So if the Republicans couldn't give a shite to run someone serious, then I guess the well organized moderate Democrat gets it.
New Orleans is much more liberal....but then it's New Orleans.....it has always been more libertine than the rest of the state or the South for that matter

The old “my dog has less fleas than your dog” debate.

Alabama and Louisiana are basically tied. Arkansas is not even close to Louisiana.
Both Alabama and Arkansas are more conservative than Louisiana. Just look at the politicians that run them

About half of the state's population live in the Nola, BR and Shreveport metros which all have large black populations and I'm sure their fair share of woke white Democrats too.
The craziest progressives I've met weren't from San Fran or Portland, they were from South La.

A lot absolutely are.....you can't imagine the people I've talked to in my own parish that have softened their stance towards abortion just in the last 5-10 years....it is sickening.

Mississippi has the highest black % in the country so it's probably not the answer most are thinking.
It’s big cities. That’s the answer. LA swarms MS in that regard. A ton of the votes come from Nola and BR.

What? Louisiana is a ruby red state and that's with blue shitholes like NOLA, BR and Shreveport.
