If they tried this in NOLA 9 out 10 times the thieves would get away with the bike. They would need to come out with more than bats.

Yea, not your weekly go to supermarket. Take and bake Pizzas and some produce. Bagels and breads ok. Not so much for meats or other essentials.
We have stores here called Dirt Cheap. Rummage through the shite and find cheap Squeaky Toys. Our dog loves them and you average about $2.00 a toy
Yea, got stuck with a bogus slip and fall from dish detergent in a Buds Outlet suit. The attorney representing the defendant let it slip that this lady had 2 previous slip and falls from detergent in Walmart & Sam's. Was so pissed that I had to miss work for this BS that took 3 days.

I have no intention of ever going back into NOLA or driving thru it again. If I-12 is shut down I'll just keep heading north.

In this case there were 4 males in that car. Surely at least one was sober enough to make the determination that she was too impaired and stop it. What about the driver?

Not long after it opened and living in BR I went there. Never again, horrible service with bad attitude servers. Subpar food and was served a beer in a cup less than 3/4 full. Would never go back there.

When I was working with a communications company, we had to install redar detectors in LE vehicles. The way we calibrated them was with a set of tuning forks which would vibrate at a frequency corresponding to a speed stamped on the fork.

Early 20's around the late 1980's. Bought my first home for $45k, wife left a full-time job to go back to college and work part-time. Was sweating every OT hour I could work. Eating out at Ryan's buffet or happy hour $1.00 Margaritas and free food at El Toritos was a huge treat. I laugh at what we spend on a dinner now days, was a week's worth of groceries back then.
Local shipbuilding always hiring pipe fitters and welders. Community college degree a fraction of the cost and time as those tech degrees they just got put out on the street with.

We used to go that one on Sherwood north of I-10, think it was called Ideal. Amazing when you look at what's in the baskets at checkout that so different from Gringos at Walmart. Probably 80% of what they are buying is non-processed fresh vegetables, fruit, whole grains and meat. And yes, Sunday was the only day most were not working sunup to sundown. That was the only place we could find a brand of coffee we have every morning.

When the album came out with "Don't it make my Brown Eyes Blue" My dad played that album over and over again until it wore out. Would listen to that again over the crap playing now any day.
