Dude is a white guy. Only white guys can call each other dude. If a black guy is really cool, a white guy can call him dude showing the bond h has with him, but that son of a bitch better not call white dudes dude back.

Context mattters---juat the same for any word.

I can call someone a bitch and it's viewed as a term of endearmentand---I can call someone a bitch another time and it's taken as a slight.

I can tell someone "frick you" after they make a sly , clever comment and we laugh it off. I can tell someone "frick you" you at a bar and that leads to fitsicuffs

Go for it. I actually think you should go down by the LSU bench and yell it at them. But make sure you stick around and don't run off like a pussy.

Is there something stopping you from saying the n word to black people?

Sounds like you won't man up and say what's on your mind.

Better question is why would you even want to call a black person the n word?

I claim the word as mine. My grandfather and my dad called me **** as a term of endearment. I have fond memories. They are gone, but I can still hear it.

Black people, unique among the races, have carved out dispensations for themselves. They are essentially the children of America, held to a lesser standard, absolved of their responsibility to each other and the larger culture, and beholden only to their parents - white Progressive Democrats- who give them an allowance to keep them in line.

Holy shite! Couldn't have said it better myself. You win the internet for today!

I have no idea how to answer the OP but I thought I’d share this story. When I was in high school (1983 or 84) I worked one summer doing parish work with a crew of about 6 or 7. I was the only white dude. The supervisor was black and he would always refer to me as whitey. They all laughed at me. Personally I didn’t give a flip about it and their laughter didn’t harm me in any way. I never felt threatened in any way but I do have to say I remember thinking they were kinda lazy. That was a long time ago though so things may have changed.

I have to edit my post to say that I now work with a few black people in my office and they are some of the hardest workers I've ever known. One guy in particular is a conservative and he and I are pretty close with regard to politics. I'm pretty sure some of the others are conservative as well but it's kind of a no no to talk politics while at work.

It's a great question. My guess is that scholars, most likely libs, have invaded the ranks of Merriam Webster, and are just making up shite as they go along.

They're just giving an example of cultural appropriation .

That's actually their reasoning. They made it part of their culture and they think it's wrong for any non-black person to use it.

Obsessive and hate filled.

So much hate and anger for minorities, especially blacks. Thread after thread with blacks being the theme of hate.... then off to the sports sections to cheer for the people they hate because they help their team win.

Waste of humanity, less than shite.
