Forget the fact that they have the most talented accountants and investment advisors that would crush the DSA or any government official.
Who would create companies that employees millions ?
What would that do to the market and everyone's 401k's ?
The government is full of millionaires, are they going to surrender their money ?
Hollywood is full of the uber rich, they giving their cash away ?
The stupidity of this tax the rich argument is mind boggling.

The real answer is nobody should have to pay income taxes.
The government shouldn’t own a single ounce of my productivity… or that of a billionaire.
My parents didn’t give birth to me to support a government that hates me.

Tax Share Breakdown
Top 10 percent of earners: Pay about 70% to 72% of total federal income taxes. [1, 2]
Bottom 90 percent of earners: Pay about 28% to 30% of total federal income taxes combined. [1, 2]
Top 1 percent of earners: Often pay more on their own (around 38% to 40% of all income taxes) than the entire bottom 90% combined.
The rich already get taxed up the arse, accountants, or not. What they ever living frick do the uninformed "victim mentality" people want?

I’m not going to answer the question because it’s not something I’m interested in doing.

They already pay more than everyone else so it’s a dumb arse question

The "rich" are taxed to the hilt. How much more do they want.

Rich people who work on salaries and bonuses get taxed up the arse. They are the ones taking it, up the arse.
Rich people who are asset rich get taxed at a rate so much lower than the middle class that it's pitiful.

The people who don’t want to have actual careers and therefore choose jobs like being a waitress/bartender, doing tattoos in their house, content creation, etc. because they don’t want to give up fricking off for hours on end with no real responsibilities, and are jealous that people they grew up with chose to do something with their lives. They need a villain for why the lifestyle they chose doesn’t allow them to enjoy the fruits of life they see others experiencing so they blame it on billionaires and the belief that they’re hogging up on the wealthy because in their eyes money is finite.

How does one pay annual taxes when they are “asset rich” and have little cash?

They take out a loan from a boutique bank for the ultra wealthy at .5 percent or 1 percent and borrow against their assets. I don't know enough about finance to know how it works exactly, but that's the gist of it.

The DSA's will damn sure try it.

The rich have a low tax rate but still pay more than anyone else out there. The middle class have the highest tax rates, and pay more than their share. The poor pay basically nothing and bum off of the government programs much of their existence.
That is America in summation.

This is why they want wealth taxes and trading taxes.
Those are harder to plan around

If your taxable income is over 1 million a year joint / 500 thousand single, you should lose the benefit of qualified dividends.
Remember we have only had qualified dividends for about 25 years.
This would fix a lot of the working vs trust fund babies issues.

If you are rich and w2 , then you are taxed criminally and pay more than anyone …if you are like most of the rich, who take loans off their assets, then you are not taxed much at all, because you are always living on debt, and debt isn’t taxed, and they can arbitrage those loans and live off the difference

ding ding ding
it's a wealth tax, not an income tax. Which is nearly impossible to calculate but here we are.
