And all that money they have in the bank has already been taxed. You want to tax the same dollar multiple times.

If you had your way you would tax the rich until they weren’t rich anymore. That would kill innovation as people wouldn’t have the motivation to produce at a high level. Not to mention we need rich people investing and saving their money, otherwise banks couldn’t give loans to regular people to buy homes, cars, or to start a business. Also, rich people are the ones that pay regular peoples’ salaries. That’s why socialism never works. It doesn’t lift up the poor. It just makes everybody poor.

And how will that person pay the loan back that they took out because they had no cash to pay the taxes?

I don’t think you have to be a finance major to see where I am going with this. In addition to this most all assets will have likely been taxed multiple times.

They can tax the “rich”

That guy with the plumbing business and the nice house and boat can’t hide his income and will end up paying more but the true rich that fund all these movements have their wealth hidden and won’t pay a dime

Higher tax rates never amounts to more taxes collected. And even if it did, the extra tax $ would be squandered and stolen.

What is you definition of asset rich? I can define asset, can you?

You can own land that is very valuable and be cash poor. Hell force them rich people off, throw them in the street.

Family farms that have been handed down for generations or even a home that has been paid for for years but has increased in value due to location. Should a widow or family be taxed more because a county tax assessor deems them rich because the land has a increased in value. Lose a home or land that a family has owned for generations, it's not uncommon..

Corporate farms, land developers, and governments think so and apparently so do you . You are so short sighted with your ignorance and hate for the "rich". You are a fricking dumb arse.

Top 10% of Earners: Paid about 71% to 72% of total federal individual income taxes (for those making roughly $178,000 to $187,000 and above).

Top 5% of Earners: Paid about 60% of income taxes.

Top 1% of Earners: Paid about 40% of income taxes.

Top 50% of Earners: Paid about 97% of all federal individual income taxes.

!!!! Bottom 50% of Earners: Paid the remaining 3% !!!!

So I'm wrong?

What is wrong with a trust fund baby? They don’t mooch off society. Their trust is typically invested into the economy.

In fact, you could claim the “trust fund babies” contribute more to the economy in terms of innovation, job creation etc that some some who wakes up and grinds it out for a living.

To destroy. The left is made up entirely of losers. There is not a single winning mindset among people that pull the lever for Democrats or anyone on the left. They want to destroy YOU because YOU have your shite together. Because YOU are not a miserable POS. Because YOU have achieved for yourself. The left is made up entirely of jealous goblins who think the way they will feel better is to reset everyone at zero, their current state, and that will make everything better. However, they don't really want that, they want to reset YOU to zero, and then take your things and your wealth for themselves.

They don't realize that no matter how much shite you take from the producers, the left will always be miserable failures, and the producers will always be the winners.

The rich need to pay their "fair share". The leftists can never define it.

It's just a talking point to get people on board with socialism.

Take out another loan, duh. When you’re rich people just give you money.

Democrats are the party of the poor. They have this brilliant strategy to grow their voter base by making more people poor. Then they pander to them by vilifying the “rich”

Rather than trying to lift people out of poverty, they’d rather keep them there.
Rather than teach them to fish, they’d rather give them minnows and make them believe that wealth is bad. Productivity is bad.

Just take your handout and vote for me

These parasites that pay virtually nothing in taxes complain that the rich don’t pay their fair share. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Ungrateful hypocrites.

Tell us dumbass, when someone is taxed on an unrealized gain one year, then the gain goes away completely the next year, how do they get their money back?

The "rich" are already taxed. The top 10 percent of this country pay nearly 3/4ths of all of the income taxes in this country.

The bottom 50 pays three percent. Yes three. Tres. Trois. Tre. Drei.

Nothing directly but the fact thir income is taxed less than someone who is actually productive is very backwards.

Not if they are passively invested with professional money managers.
