Dude, I’m going to take what you say there at face value.

All of us care about politics and the future of this country (otherwise why in the world would someone spend any of their precious God-given time on this board at all).

But sounds like you need to reassess some priorities. People the world over have had to live and endure (or sometimes even die) under horrible regimes since the beginning of time. Much, much worse than any of us have ever been exposed to.

No-one (except our Prog friends probably) wants to see the US fall under unchallenged/unchecked Socialist/Communist rule.

You still have things to LIVE for regardless of election results. I’m assuming you have family and/or friends and are not truly alone. If you are, then there’s people out there who need other people - get off the board and get involved.

If not, then focus on your friends, family and loved ones. They probably need you regardless of politics.

Again, taking a face value what you said there. This board is good at flinging some serious shite and grief and you’ve certainly opened yourself up to your share of it.

But at the end of the day, there’s LOTS of other things to live for. If things ever really get extremely bad there’s going to be a time for those willing to put their lives on the line.

I hope you reconsider some things and take some steps to get yourself in a better place. I really do.

I think he is wrong on tariffs and medicare/ss, for sure. I also think he does to rural white trash white people what dems do to black urban folk. Run on an explicit identity politics platform where all the problems in these shitty areas are due to "the system", rather than crappy culture. I think trump is doing immense harm telling white trash whites in places like WV and NE Ohio that they are poor due to "oppression" rather than due to personal behavior.
