When pressed on the issue, liberals always admit they're for gun bans and confiscation

I've yet to meet a lib who doesn't eventually admit he's for some sort of gun ban or gun confiscation. So when libs say "no one is trying to take your guns" they're lying. Confiscation and criminalization of firearms is their ultimate goal.

Not all liberals are anti-gun. To paint with a broad brush alienates allies for the pro-gun cause.

Just like 2 years ago when they said that they "only want to abolish Confederate flags".

Now they're destroying statues and monuments, with no end in sight.

Agreed...so long as only The State has them.

Well I've learned tonight that do called pro-2nd amendment advocates are OK with automatically banning guns from anyone with mental health diagnosis or anyone who recieves government benefits.

Since I find those positions completely unacceptable, I know feel like I'm an extreme pro-2nd amendment advocate. That disturbs me because I shouldn't be defending against that ridiculousness from those who are supposed to be the advocates.

Because they are chasing a zero sum. When you claim let’s ban “assault rifles” because they account for 300 murders a year. How do you ignore the 6000 or so murders every year with handguns?

That isn’t true for 100% of liberals. There are liberal pro-gun people.

Fortunately parents don’t get to modify and interpret the Constitution as they see fit.

I don't understand the whole "no one needs a drum magazin or large capacity magazines"

Okay...so the killer will just buy a ton of magazines.

Yes, and no. Most of the so called pro-gun liberals are perfectly willing to shite on the 2A when an event like this takes place. Honestly how many leftists have you seen here, posting things that made sense, rather than banning guns or taking guns from people who didn't commit this crime?

This point can't be hammered home enough. The notion of limited gun control is all they're asking for is total bullshite. They know incremental roll back is the only way to achieve their goals in this country so they lie and say that they nominally support gun freedoms when in reality they absolutely seek total gun confiscation. It's the only rational extension of their logic. Banning AR's won't stop school shootings. So when the next person shoots up a school with a 9mm handgun, what is the outcry going to be then? Ban pistols. And then on to the next one.

If you prod them enough you can often get them to finally acknowledge that they would be in favor of banning guns outright. I've personally experienced this multiple times. They have no compunctions about lying to further their agendas, this we should all understand clearly.

and there are liberals like me who are all for gun bans and confiscation. no need to press, its not some secret im ashamed of. im sick of this shite, im sick of watching children getting slaughtered.

not all guns, i understand and respect the 2nd amendment, but go frick yourself if you support someone assembling an armory like paddock had in Vegas. you couldn't buy 33 cell phones in a year without getting investigated, but semi-autos were apparently fine.

you like target shooting? thats your hobby?

frick you, find a new hobby. because you know what i like? i like not seeing children crying over the dead bodies of their classmates. i feel thats a tad more important.

This is exactly what you should do.

Cut through all the bullshite. The question is do we ban and confiscate, or do we look for solutions on the user (people) side.

Don't waste time talking about "common sense gun control." We should welcome the discussion of the true issue, which is whether America is willing to accept a ban in exchange for safety. The answer is no, of course.

Well at least you're honest. Are there any other constitutional rights you think people shouldn't have? Maybe free speech, or due process?

Parent of two here. And I’m adamant that there be no restrictions placed on firearms. I teach my kids to stay true to their beliefs, and mine is that fewer guns in the hands of law abiding citizens make for more soft targets for criminals.
