“107 here, 103 there, actually temp is 97 and 95”

“Orange warning” from ATL metro news.

“It’s 420 degrees here in South Central LA right now. Probably a good time to get out of the fricking city. There are gusts of lead coming up Sunset!” - Bill Hicks

All the numbers in the europe heat wave stories were heat index.

The weather figs have latched on to the clickbait too. Newsflash it’s hot in July. Shocking I know.

Whenever its a summer slow news day.
Let's just consider this as a net positive. When the local news (who still watches this?) leads with a weather story, it must mean there were no heinous murders over the past 24 hours.

When OMB became President and refused to spend $94 TRILLION on a former bartender's Green New Deal.

The nerve of that Orange Bastard!

PS - With USAID on life support, the corrupt Political Establishment could really use that $94 trillion.

It’s actually hilarious in Michigan. They will use heat index in the summer to inflate numbers and then use windchill to deflate the numbers in the winter.

I don’t understand why one week of weather temperatures have to be proof of weather change. If it’s 80 degrees in Wyoming on Christmas the left posts all over social media that it’s global warming. If it snows in Nashville in April the right goes all over social media claiming that global warming is a scam.
Like atheists in foxholes.

Weather people were indoctrinated years ago. You don't even get to be one if you are conservative, much like news reporters. Colleges see to that.

Is the wind chill equivalent to summer. It's a way to really hype up the weather and make you watch their programming. Which is full of ads.

When they found it to be profitable is what I assume.

People are soft and TPTB need them scared about global warming for control purposes (and to counteract all the positive social media about the US and the World Cup, which invariably talks about AC).

Fear weather has taken over.

Not just temps, but with these severe weather alerts. Level 1, 2, 3, etc.

TV stations have five weather people now. All meteorologists. All show you several different models with several different forecasts.

Weather is big business now.

All these local news folks have gone off the deep end with first alert weather days.

You can't have more than a day a week now without some kind of fear mongering from the weather people.
