Who are the good ole baws that aren’t complaining about it on here? I want specific names.

Do the threads complaining about the riverboat pilots and their good ole baw system on here count?

Do you have examples of people defending the good old baw system on here?

Typical response. Nothing to say huh?

What do you want me to say Guru? Why are you so mad? You seem awfully upset about a post on a message board. If you need help please don't be too proud to seek help

Is anyone here advocating for nepotism?

THIS!

One is a public policy being openly pushed by a political party.
The other is some shady bullshite that is called out by both parties.

Quite simple really.

With a DEI hire, there’s zero accountability, and you can be virtually assured you aren’t getting the best person for the job.

With a referral, there is. The person who recommended them is putting their integrity on the line. You might not be getting the best, but someone you CAN fire just said they’d be good enough.

Are you 5 years old?

You have never heard of people complaining about cronyism and nepotism?

Besides DEI is racist, hiring your cousin isnt.

Oh look... somebody trying to start shite about either people being misogynistic or more likely racist without just manning up and coming right out and saying it. Wonder why that is?

Good ‘ole baws are actually usually good at something. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be baws.

None of it is good, but there's a difference in the importance of some jobs and others. If I get my buddy a job putting up fences, that's a lot different than the fricking president of the United States

In my experience most Good Ole Baw Network hires are at least competent. The same cannot be said for most DEI hires.

Good ole baw hires generally don't have pronouns not consider themselves to be the opposite of their biological sex.

One is driven by HR and the other is driven by relationships.

One pretends that it is a virtuous ideal rooted in justice and one does not.

One is systemic and one is not.

I would like to challenge that idea some . Is the person doing the hiring desiring a candidate they need to trust may be a big factor. Does a trust or previously knowing the candidate fall into the “qualifications”.

Also is the hiring person the owner of the company ? If it is their company shouldn’t they have the ultimate say it’s their bottom line.
