Now hold on a minute. The left would always tell you that good ole boy hires are bad, while DEI is always good and never questionable.

If you are against DEI then you are a term de jour from the left - racist, bigot, misogynistic, etc.

Most people know a good ole boy hire when they see it.

You're asking with a (metaphorical) straight face what is the difference between racial discrimination and networking...

The rhetorical gymnastics the left is using in an attempt to parry the very obvious and effective criticisms of Kamala and leftist hypocrisy is in full on olympic mode right now.

A recommendation within a company is about hiring a single person, irrespective of race or sex, with a specific person providing a reference. If the new employee does not workout, then both the person who provided the reference is now under a spot light.

A DEI hire is a generic hiring solely based on characteristics that have nothing to do with the content of the hiree's character.

In the case of the DEI SCOTUS hire...blacks make up 13.4% of the US population. To be on SCOTUS, recent history dictates that they must be a lawyer. There are currently 1,327,000 lawyers in the country with 4.5% of them being black, meaning there are only 59,700 black attorneys. Because of black males killing other black males and the high criminality rate of black males, it is likley that 60-70% of these black attorney's are women. So, Biden chose one person solely based on race and sex out of 40,000 people to have 1/9 of the control over legal decisions that affect 333,287,557 people of which 86.6% are not black.

Neither are acceptable.

I don't recall the good ole baws complaining about it. Looks like it's only DEI hires they want to complain about...wonder why

Is one of the presidential candidates a "good ole baw hire"?

This is true. Everybody has or has had that friend that, while they are their friend, there's no way in heck they'd ever consider recommending them for a job where they also work.

I refuse to recommend anyone where I work, unless I have a long, long history with them.
