Everyone realized it’s a moronic idea that’s already been tried and rejected immediately.

If we ever decide to go with just one, Standard Time would be the much better choice. DST would suck hard in the winter.
I can tell you parents with children in grade school definitely do not want DST as the standard.
A person with no children waiting at a bus stop in the dark down voted.

I get wanting more daylight in the evening but I think people are not understanding how difficult all of those days with unreasonable sunrise time would be on our circadian rhythm.

My theory on this is people already hate mornings so they think making mornings shittier won't impact them as much as early dark in the afternoon which times with getting off work and a feeling of vibrancy. It's just hard to conceptualize how shitty mornings would b
you dont have kids so you have very little understanding of wanting to be outside with your kids after work or wanting them to have time to be able to play outside after school before it gets dark.

Nothing to do with Iran. The senate just doesn’t do anything.

They also probably realized that suddenly going apeshit over turning a clock twice a year isn’t a serious problem and just a dumb Internet trend.
What an ignorant statement. Get out of your hometown a time or two.

Are you retired or otherwise not required to be at a certain spot at a certain time?
That’s the only way I could it simply not mattering what time the sun rises.

The human body does not want to wake up long before sunrise.
Why would we ignore basic biology? Kids born into this permanent DST dystopia would spend their entire lives essentially being tortured just to wake up in time to get to school and then work. No hyperbole at all.

No, the human body does not naturally want to wake up long before sunrise; instead, our internal clock is wired to align closely with the rising of the sun.The Circadian Rhythm and LightMaster Clock: Your brain uses a central pacemaker called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) to track time.Light Cues: Light is the main signal that tells your body when to wake up.Natural Alignment: As a diurnal (day-active) species, human biology is designed to transition from sleep to wakefulness around dawn as light and cortisol levels increase. Waking up hours before any natural light appears goes against our baseline biological programming.Variations in Sleep ChronotypesIndividual Differences: Genetics influence your natural sleep timing, known as your chronotype.Early Risers vs. Night Owls: Some people naturally wake up easily near dawn, while others have a delayed circadian rhythm that makes early mornings difficult. The Role of Twilight: While waking up shortly before the sun fully peaks over the horizon can coincide with early morning twilight and the body's natural cortisol rise, waking up long before dawn forces the body to wake during deep biological night.

it is a serious problem though. You sound like you don't have kids which is why it is probably stupid for you but it fricks kids up.. Screws up their sleeping patterns, etc

Don't worry. The panty wastes will start crying about it again when we switch back to God's time (Standard time) in November.

Literally this. Sunlight before work is utterly useless to me. Sunlight after work is extremely valuable for exercising, socializing, and yard work. I hate standard time.

who cares if the sun is up when you're socialzing and what winter yard work are you doing besides raking leaves on occassion? shortest day of the year is the week of Christmas so its not like you're missing out on much.

A lot of folks probably pushed it down the priority list as daily needs are staying expensive. Yeah sure less than Biden but that’s a pretty damn low bar.
It was only double the inflation under Biden, no big deal.

The argument comes up every year around this time. The original idea was clear. It was created to conserve energy. All studies have proven that it conserves NO energy. So, why don't we go back to standard? My guess is theory of presumption (least risk). If you don't know what to do, do nothing.

are you saying we would be better off starting our days at sunrise, no matter what time that happens to be? should typical work hours be constantly shifted throughout the year, starting at 830 am in late December/early January and 530 am in June/July?

It was a bad idea.
The permanent Standard Time push is still on though.
