Make an argument for it. Its a stupid ritual that makes no sense at all.

Tbh, I prefer DST, but I would accept standard time forever if it meant we didn’t have to keep changing the clocks. I don’t really care which one as much as I care that we stop switching.

are you saying we would be better off starting our days at sunrise, no matter what time that happens to be?

Yes we would absolutely be better off if we could wake naturally as natural light hit our eyes instead of to an alarm clock. Duh. This isn’t controversial.

should typical work hours be constantly shifted throughout the year, starting at 830 am in late December/early January and 530 am in June/July?

You could make an argument for that. Society has to this point agreed on the current compromise instead.

I don't recall that.

The current spring forward fall back arrangement is fine. All the boo-hooing about losing an hour, blah, blah, blah is soft.

Springing forward accounts for the most heart attacks suffered but yeah it's a moronic idea

You can't change the physical reality of changing seasons. Time is an artificial measuring contruct whether you leave it alone or not, it's still going to get dark earlier in the Fall and Winter, and stay daylight longer in the Spring and Summer. What it can screw up is the physiology of circadian rhythms
