What would you like to see from a potential Convention of the States?

1). Congressional Term Limits Amendment (2 Terms total)
2). Hard economic limits on political lobbying.
Those two are up there for me. What about you all?

1) poll tests
2) census counts citizens, not persons.
3) State legislatures pick senators again.
4) repeal the 16th
I could add about 30 more, but those four would be a really good start.

Immediate disbandment. Absolutely nothing good can come from it in real life.
There is nothing wrong with the constitution as is. History tells us that these type of things will never stay in their legal bounds and will end up re-writing the whole thing.
If we’re going to live in fantasy land where ineffective legislators and horrible state governments somehow came together and DIDNT compile a list of total and utter shite, my priority would be repealing the 17th amendment.

As far as I know, the first one in locked in if (and hopefully when) a convention is called.
We’re closer than most know.
I was endorsed by that organization on my failed attempt for AL state rep.

1) Repeal of the 17th Amendment (most important, by far)
2) Single-issue bills in Congress

This. Also, some reform of voting by mail.

Hard limits on multi-limit bills.
Anyone who airdrops in a 1000 page bill and says you have to vote on it to see what is in it should be automatically drawn and quartered l

1) Massive reduction of federal power with firmly defined limits going forward
2) Inflexible guidelines on federal spending
3) Bills need to get approval of a majority of state legislatures

#3 could be accomplished by rolling back the 17th amendment and having state legislators pick their senators again:

Repeal of the 17th Amendment popular vote returning Senators to the control of state legislatures. Adding a some deadlock breaking rules was all that was needed.
Single issue bills where actual congress members have to read it and pass a test on its contents.

they cant be trusted with it, but that said
- mandatory 2 term limit for any national public office
- all senate terms are now 4 yr terms, doing away with the 6 yr term BS. so every 2 years one senator from each state always comes up for re-election
- we must have have a balanced budget every year, no more deficit spending, period.

As of right now I would be scared as hell. Seems most government state and federal representatives are either democrats pretending to be republican, democrats and a handful of actual conservatives.
I am not sure I would like the results if we had one

I’m glad I’m not the only one that sees this as a huge Pandora’s box. Opening up the possibility of changing the Constitution would be dangerous AF.

1. Solidify 2nd amendment to be more clear. Guarantee private firearm ownership and conceal carry as a right.
2. Balanced budget amendment
3. Border security amendment
4. Congressional term limits
5. Amendment barring corporations from infringing on Americans constitutional rights, and barring Govt from pressuring them to do so. Too often the “private companies can do what they want” is used to suppress individual rights
6. Social Media and Internet freedom amendment. Censorship not allowed on social media or Internet forums. Declare them a form of public space where free speech is protected
