Mostly indifferent. However, when I was a senior I took an elective that was half a year of economics and Milton Friedman's book 'Free to Choose' was the reading assignment. That book pretty much set my political philosophy as it is today.

I hated the Cold War with a passion.

Outside of that my time was spent thinking about cruising, poker, baseball, beer, fishing and girls, not politics.

High School- Moderate democrat who voted for Clinton’s first term (I was 18 and had an early birthday and thought everyone was a democrat)
College through early 30’s- hard conservative
Mid 30’s to now- conservative libertarian (not religious so social issues was never a hot button for me except for abortion)

Essentially the same but I was very politics conscious from a young age.

I'd say my most significant change is on foreign policy. Was a neocon in high school and college. No more.

Almost completely indifferent to politics in high school. The big scandal at the time was a blowjob.

In HS, I fully understood the value of capitalism.........but I made WAYYYYYYY to common a use of phrases that started with "they oughtta........"

I now laugh about it because that phrase is easily the gold standard for identifying liberals.

The only political event I remember from high school was Obama getting elected. They played the inauguration on a projector in the theater but I think only like 3 students and 5 teachers watched.

Honestly did not care about politics whatsoever til Michael 'the Gentle Giant' Brown was shot and the hands up don't shoot/BLM movement got started.

I then realized how fricked up our media is (CNN being the worst culprit), and have gone further and further right it seems by the day.

What I wouldn't give to hear Buckley pontificate on the current state of political affairs.

Luckily the teachers I had in the mid to late 90s , weren't trying to indoctrinate me. They kept their talking points to stuff strictly related to the courses they taught.

For me, I wasn't a political nerd in school. I was too busy thinking about titties.
