What were your polticial leanings in high school? What are they now?

Same answer.

HS = hard conservative (very religious home)
Now = right leaning libertarian

Then: Fairly liberal
Now: Libertarian conservative
High School: Based on my recollection - neither

I was a more hardline conservative in HS than I am now. Now I'm more moderate conservative with a healthy side dish of libertarian, and a garnish of prog on a limited passel of issues.

Then: conservative

High school: wealthy area, so a lot of "country club republicans". Lots of moral majority suburban Christians as well. But there was a solid minority of liberals in drama, arts, etc

I briefly moved towards a more centrist mentality as an undergrad, but that was only because I was engaging in behaviors I knew I shouldn’t have been engaging in, and liberal ideals gave me an excuse/out.

I was liberal in high-school, or at least I thought I was. I am now a right-wing fascist evil white male.

Then: Hardcore Conservative. I was against gay marriage and legalization of marijuana and little issues like that.

Now: Libertarian. Gays have a right to get married whether I agree with homosexuality or not and pot should be legal. Less government intervention is what I want.

High School: Moderate conservative. For the most part our school was conservative but we had a few liberal teachers and students

hs conservative..... then a very liberal teacher telling all boys in a class "ronald reagan" is gonna send all of you to die in russia.... I knew donkeys were fing nuts..


nothing in the years since 1980 have wavered on that.
